Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media kanal youtube “Kok Bisa?” terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 97 Jakata. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Juni 2020. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group tes awal dan tes akhir. Populasi terdiri atas seluruh siswa yang tercatat dalam kelas VIII SMP Negeri 97 Jakarta. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan 25 siswa dari kelas eksperimen. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes awal dan tes akhir menulis teks eksposisi kelas eksperimen. Melalui uji normalitas dihasilkan penghitungan Lo sebesar 0,097 berdasarkan distribusi dengan dk = 25 dengan taraf signifikasi (ɑ) 0,05 dan Ltabel sebesar 0,177 untuk kelas eksperimen pada hasil tes awal dan uji normalitas pada hasil tes akhir kelas eksperimen dihasilkan penghitungan Lo sebesar 0,112 berdasarkan distribusi dengan dk = 25 dengan taraf signifikasi (ɑ) 0,05 dan Ltabel sebesar 0,177, dari hasil tersebut diperoleh Lo < Ltabel. Dengan demikian, populasi berdistribusi normal. Melalui uji homogenitas diperoleh penghitungan Fhitung sebesar 1,415 berdasarkan distribusi dk = 25 dan taraf signifikasi (ɑ) 0,05 diperoleh Ftabel sebesar 1,983 dari hasil tersebut diperoleh Fhitung < Ftabel. Berdasarkan data tersebut, populasi memiliki varians yang homogen. Berdasarkan penghitungan Uji-t diperoleh Thitung sebesar 10,48 pada dk = 23 dalam taraf signifikasi (ɑ) 0,05, dan Ttabel diperoleh 2,069. Hasil 10,48 > 2,069 sehingga Hɑ diterima dan Ho ditolak. Nilai rata-rata keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi kelas eksperimen pada hasil tes akhir adalah 84,36. Dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh media kanal youtube “Kok Bisa?” terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 97 Jakarta. Media kanal youtube “Kok Bisa?” dapat diimplikasikan terhadap pembelajaran menulis teks berita. This study aims to determine the effect of youtube channel media “Kok Bisa?” on the skills of writing exposition texts for 8th grader of 97 junior high school Jakarta. This research was conducted in 2020 in June. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a one group pretest and posttest research design. The population consists of all students registered in class VIII of SMPN 97 Jakarta. Sampling was carried out with 25 students from the experimental class. The research instruments were tes awal and posttest writing experimental class exposition texts. Through the normality test the Lo calculation is 0.097 based on the distribution with dk = 25 with a significance level (ɑ) 0.05 and Ltable of 0.177 for the experimental class on the tes awal results and the normality test on the posttest results of the experimental class results in the Lo calculation of 0.112 based on the distribution with dk = 25 with a significance level (ɑ) 0.05 and Ltable of 0.177, from these results obtained Lo <Ltable. Thus, the population has a normal distribution. Through the homogeneity test, the calculation of Fcount is 1.415 based on the distribution dk = 25 and the significance level (ɑ) 0.05 is obtained Ftabel of 1.983 from the results obtained Fcount <Ftable. Based on these data, the population has a homogeneous variance. Based on the calculation of the--Test obtained Thitung of 10.48 at dk = 23 in the significance level (ɑ) 0.05, and Ttable obtained 2.069. Then 10,.48 > 2,069 so that Hɑ is accepted and Ho is rejected. The average value of the experimental class exposition text writing skills on the posttest results was 84.36. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is the effect of youtube channel media "Kok Bisa?" on the skills of writing exposition texts for 8th grader of 97 junior high school Jakarta. Youtube channel media "Kok Bisa?" can be implicated in learning to write news texts.
