Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tipe kepribadian ekstraversi dan neurotisme terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis pemilik hewan peliharaan. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini merupakan 1843 pemilik hewan peliharaan dengan usia 11-66 tahun yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menyebarkan kuesioner yang kemudian di analisa dengan analisis regresi berganda. Kesejahteraan psikologis pemilik hewan peliharaan diukur menggunakan Ryff’s Scales of Psychological Well-Being dan tipe kepribadian ekstraversi dan neurotisme diukur dengan Big Five Inventory 10. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tipe kepribadian ekstraversi dan neurotisme memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis pemilik hewan peliharaan sebesar 22,7%. Adapun tipe kepribadian ekstraversi berpengaruh secara positif terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis, sedangkan tipe kepribadian neurotisme berpengaruh secara negatif terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis pemilik hewan peliharaan. This research was conducted to determine the influence of extraversion and neuroticism on the psychological well-being of pet owners. Participants in this study were 1843 pet owners aged 11-66 years spread throughout Indonesia. This research uses a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires which are then analyzed by multiple regression analysis. The psychological well-being of pet owners is measured using Ryff's Scales of Psychological Well-Being and the personality type of extraversion and neuroticism is measured by Big Five Inventory 10. The results showed that the extraversion and neuroticism had a significant influence on the psychological well-being of pet owners by 22,7%. Extraversion positively influences psychological well-being, while neuroticism negatively influences the psychological well-being of pet owners.
