Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap self-esteem pada mahasiswa Fakultas Pendidikan Psikologi Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ). Alat ukur dalam penelitian ini menggunakan The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support dari Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet, dan Farley (1988) dan Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale dari Rosenberg (1965). Responden dalam penelitian terdiri dari 300 mahasiswa aktif Fakultas Pendidikan Psikologi UNJ angkatan 2016, 2017, 2018, dan 2019. Hasil dari penelitian diolah menggunakan analisis regresi satu prediktor dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 22. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara dukungan sosial terhadap self-esteem pada mahasiswa Fakultas Pendidikan Psikologi UNJ dengan nilai hitung F 66,745; p < 0,05. Pengaruh yang diberikan dukungan sosial terhadap self-esteem adalah sebesar 18,3%. This study was aimed at finding out the influence of social support on the self-esteem of students in the Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ). This study used The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support by Zimet, Dahlem, and Farley (1988) and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale by Rosenberg (1965) as measuring instruments. There were 300 respondents for this study consisting of active students of the faculty of psychology from classes of 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. The data of this study were analyzed using the regression analysis one predictor by using SPSS version 22. The results of this study indicated that there was an influence between social support on self-esteem of the students of the faculty of psychology at UNJ with a calculation value of F 66,745; p < 0,05. The influence social support has on self-esteem was 18,3%.
