Abstract

Seiring dengan pesatnya perkembangan zaman, dunia pendidikan dituntut untuk mempersiapkan siswa agar mampu bersaing di abad 21 ini. Silabus sebagai bagian dari kurikulum yang dirancang sebagai pedoman dalam proses pembelajaran pun juga harus disesuaikan dengan kecakapan abad 21 agar menghasilkan lulusan yang bermutu dan siap menghadapi ketatnya persaingan hidup. Hal tersebut menarik untuk diteliti lebih jauh sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah silabus yang dirancang dari berbagai universitas telah memenuhi keterampilan yang dibutuhkan dalam abad 21. Keterampilan abad 21 yang menjadi acuan atau standar dalam studi ini adalah empat kompetensi dari Partnership for 21st Century Skills yang meliputi kompetensi kreativitas dan inovasi, kompetensi berpikir kritis dan pemecahan masalah, kompetensi komunikasi, dan kompetensi kolaboratif. Penelitian ini berfokus pada silabus Praktikum Penerjemahan sebagai tahapan mata kuliah Penerjemahan pada program sarjana Sastra Inggris dari perguruan tinggi di Indonesia dan luar negeri. Untuk menganalisis silabus Praktikum Penerjemahan, penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa silabus dari mata kuliah Praktikum Penerjemahan antar perguruan tinggi di Indonesia dan luar negeri belum terakomodir dengan kompetensi keterampilan abad ke-21 karena masing-masing elemen silabus dari setiap universitas belum belum sepenuhnya mengintegrasikan setiap kompetensi keterampilan abad ke-21. In line with era development, the education field is required to accommodate students with 21st Century skills. It also affects the syllabus design as part of the curriculum and as the guidelines in the learning process which it should be integrated with the 21st Century skills in order to produce qualified graduates who are ready to survive in the 21st era. For that reason, this study aims to see whether the syllabus designed from various universities has fulfilled the skills needed in the 21st Century. The 21st Century skills which become the reference or standard in this study are four competences, consist of creativity and innovation competence, critical thinking and problem-solving competence, communication competence, and collaborative competence from the Partnership for 21st Century skills. This study focused on the Practicum of Translation syllabus as the stages of Translation courses on English Literature undergraduate program from Indonesia and abroad universities. To analyze the Practicum of Translation syllabi, this study used the qualitative method and the descriptive approach. Results revealed that the Practicum of Translation syllabi among universities in Indonesia and abroad has not been accommodated with the competences of 21st Century skills because each element of the syllabus has not fully integrated each competence of 21st Century skills.
