Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai seluruh peralatan teknis yang digunakan serta kegunaannya dalam kelas Manajemen Penerjemahan. Data yang digunakan diperoleh melalui observasi langsung didalam kelas dan diskusi grup terfokus yang diikuti oleh lima orang mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Basic Tools adalah alat yang paling banyak digunakan di kelas Manajemen Penerjemahan ini. Hal ini didapatkan dari penggolongan alat dari tiga aspek yaitu Knowledge Acquisition yang menggunakan Basic Tools dalam pendekatannya, Knowledge Deepening yang menggunakan Complex Tools dalam pendekatannya, dan Knowledge Creation yang menggunakan Pervasive Tools dalam pendekatannya. Pengkelompokan tersebut diambil dari UNESCO ICT Competency Framework. Menurut hasil observasi dan diskusi grup terfokus, alat yang digunakan didalam kelas Manajemen Penerjemahan hanya mencapai pada tahapan Knowledge Acquisition, dan Knowledge Deepening, sedangkan untuk alat yang berhubungan dengan Knowledge Creation belum ditemukan. Dari hasil penelitian juga ditemukan fakta bahwa penggunaan alat tersebut digunakan untuk membantu mahasiswa untuk menjadi lebih produktif di dalam dan di luar kelas. Information and Communication Tools is a terminology for every technical instrument which is used to process and deliver information. This study aims to gain every information regarding the information and communication tools used and how the information and communication tools being used in the Translation Management Class. The data obtained was gathered from the observation in the class and doing focus group discussion with five students. This study shows that Basic Tools become the most used in this Translation Management Class. It was obtained by categorizing every tool from the three aspects, which is basic tools in the Knowledge Acquisition, complex tools in the Knowledge Deepening, and pervasive tools in Knowledge Creation. These categorization was derived from the UNESCO ICT Competency Framework. From the observation and focus group discussion, the result shows that the tools used in the Translation Management class only reach the Knowledge Acquisition, and Knowledge Deepening, while the tools in the Knowledge Creation level has not been found. This research complies that using these tools help students to become more productive inside and outside the classroom.
