Abstract

Respon masyarakat terhadap status adopsi di Indonesia terkadang memengaruhi kesejahteraan anak adopsi. Kesejahteraan anak adopsi inilah yang disebut denganpsychological well-being (PWB). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana gambaran PWB anak adopsi setelah mereka mengetahui status adopsinyaz. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Metode wawancara yang digunakan adalah wawancara semi struktural. Subjek penelitian sebanyak dua orang anak adopsi, laki-laki dan perempuan yang sudah mengetahui status adopsi mereka kurang dari lima tahun. Untuk mengecek keabsahan data yang didapat, penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial dari keluarga angkat sangat memengaruhi PWB subjek penelitian. Selain itu pengalaman hidup tidak menyenangkan lainnya yang berdampingan dengan pengungkapan status adopsi subjek penelitian juga dapat memengaruhi PWB mereka, terutama pengalaman dengan keluarga angkat sebagai keluarga yang membesarkan mereka selama ini. Unusual of disclosure adoption status in Indonesia is the background behaind the appointent of adopted chikdren as subject in this study.Indonesian society's response to the disclosure of adoption status can affect the weel-being of the adopted child.well-being is known as Psychological well-being.This research aims to see how is the overview ofpsychological well-being on adopted children who have known the status of adoption. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The interview method used was a semi-structural interview. Subject research as much two adopted children, a man and a woman who have known their adoption status less than five years. To check the validity of the data obtained, this research uses triangulation method. Creating the interview guide using the dimensions of the theory by Ryff.Research shows that social support from foster family and others unpleasant life experien is greatly affect to psychological well-being of subject, particularly experiences with host families as the family that raised them so far.
