Abstract

Employee Engagement merupakan salah satu masalah penting yang harus diperhatikan oleh perusahaan. Penelitian sebelumnya menyatakan bahwa employee engagement dapat dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan diri karyawan dalam hal ini disebut dengan self efficacy. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa self efficacy memiliki dampak yang besar terhadap tingkat employee engagement pada karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh self efficacy terhadap employee engagement pada karyawan generasi millenials di Jakarta Selatan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 762 orang karyawan generasi millenials yang bekerja di Jakarta Selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan teknik analisa regresi linear satu prediktor. Pengukuran variabel employee engagement pada penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur Utrecth Work Engagement Scale yang di buat oleh Schafuelli dan Bakker (2004), dan untuk mengukur variabel self efficacy ini diperoleh dengan mengadaptasi instrumen self efficacy yang dibuat oleh Arif Luqman (2015) mengacu pada teori Bandura (2006).Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara self efficacy terhadap employee engagement pada karyawan generasi millenials di Jakarta Selatan. Employee Engagement is one of the important issues that must be considered by the company. Previous research states that employee engagement can be influenced by the ability of employees themselves in this case called self efficacy. This shows that self efficacy has a large impact on the level of employee engagement on employees. This study aims to determine how the effect of self efficacy on employee engagement in millennial generation employees in South Jakarta. The sample in this study was 762 millennial employees who worked in South Jakarta. The research method used is a quantitative method with linear predictor analysis techniques one predictor. The measurement of employee engagement variables in this study used the Measure Work Engagement Scale measuring instrument made by Schafuelli and Bakker (2004), and to measure this self efficacy variable was obtained by adapting the self efficacy instrument made by Arif Luqman (2015) based on Bandura's theory (2006). The results of the study showed that there was a significant effect between self efficacy on employee engagement in millenials generation employees in South Jakarta.
