Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Labschool Jakarta, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui perencanaan dan pelaksanaan program trip observasi sebagai upaya pengembangan nilai karakter peduli sosial peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Februari 2020 hingga Juli 2020. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: (1) proses awal perencanaan program trip observasi dilakukan pada awal tahun ajaran baru, alur dari perencanaan ini dimulai dari pemilihan ketua pelaksana program dan dilanjutkan dengan pembentukan kepanitiaan pada awal tahun ajaran baru, selanjutnya tahap pencarian lokasi melalui survey yang dilakukan lebih dari satu kali. Tahap ini dilakukan bersamaan dengan pembuatan proposal program trip observasi. Proposal ini berisi tentang tujuan program, susunan kepanitiaan, susunan acara, anggaran dana, dan penawaran kerjasama untuk sponsor. Di dalam program trip observasi, terdapat kegiatan yang mengandung nilai karakter peduli sosial yaitu kegiatan bakti sosial dan kegiatan peduli kehidupan desa. (2) Pelaksanaan program trip observasi dilaksanakan pada bulan oktober selama 5 hari. Pada hari kedua dan ketiga program trip observasi terdapat kegiatan yang mengandung nilai karakter peduli sosial yaitu kegiatan peduli kehidupan desa dan kegiatan bakti sosial. Kedua kegiatan ini melibatkan peserta didik dan bertujuan untuk menanamkan nilai kepedulian sosial dan empati bagi peserta didik. Kata kunci: Penyelenggaraan, Pendidikan Karakter, Karakter Peduli Sosial, This research was conducted at SMA Labschool Jakarta, which aims to determine the planning and implementation of the observation trip program as an effort to develop students' social care character values. This research was conducted from February 2020 to July 2020. Researchers used a qualitative approach and descriptive methods. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation study. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the initial process of planning the observation trip program is carried out at the beginning of the new academic year, the flow of this planning starts from the selection of the program executive chairman and continues with the formation of a committee at the beginning of the new academic year, then the location search stage through a survey which was done more than once. This stage is carried out in conjunction with the making of an observation trip program proposal. This proposal contains the objectives of the program, the composition of the committee, schedule of events, budget funds, and offers of cooperation for sponsors. In the observation trip program, there are activities that contain social care character values, namely social service activities and activities that care for village life. (2) The observation trip program is carried out in October for 5 days. On the second and third day of the observation trip program, there are activities that contain social caring character values, namely caring for village life and social service activities. Both of these activities involve students and aim to instill the value of social care and empathy for students. Keywords: Implementation, Character Building, Social Caring Character.
