Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh alexithymia terhadap smartphone addiction pada mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ). Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah 36 mahasiswa UNJ (5= laki-laki, 31= perempuan) dengan kriteria berusia 18-25 tahun,mahasiswa aktif UNJ dan menggunakan smartphone. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan penyebaran kuesioner menggunakan link google formulir. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengukur alexithymia adalah Toronto Alexithymia Scale 20 (TAS-20) yang dikembangkan oleh Taylor, Bagby dan Parker (1994). Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengukur Smartphone addiction adalah Smartphone Addiction Scale (SAS) yang dikembangkan oleh Kwon, Kim, Cho, dan Yang (2013). Analisa data menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana dengan bantuan SPSS 25 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan F hitung = 0,919 < F table = 4,13 dan nilai p = 0,344 > α = 0,05 , dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara alexithymia terhadap smartphone addiction, dan pengaruh kedua variabel sebesar 2,6 %. Kata kunci: Alexithymia,Smartphone Addiction, Mahasiswa ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of alexithymia on smartphone addiction in State University of Jakarta (UNJ) students. The sample of this study was 36 UNJ students (5 = male, 31 = female) with criteria aged 18-25 years, UNJ active students and using smartphones. The research approach used is a quantitative method. Retrieval of data using purposive sampling method by distributing questionnaires using the google form link. The measuring instrument used to measure alexithymia is the Toronto Alexithymia Scale 20 (TAS-20) developed by Taylor, Bagby and Parker (1994). The measuring instrument used to measure Smartphone addiction is the Smartphone Addiction Scale (SAS) developed by Kwon, Kim, Cho and Yang (2013). Data analysis using simple linear regression test with the help of SPSS 25 for windows. The results showed that the F count = 0,919 < F table = 4,13 and the value of p = 0,344 > α = 0.05, it can be interpreted that there is a not significant influence between alexithymia on smartphone addiction, and the influence of both variables by 2,6 % .
