Abstract

Pelaksanaan pembelajaran jarak jauh akibat pandemi COVID-19 mendorong para guru untuk memanfaatkan teknologi khususnya media sosial untuk kegiatan pendidikan. Instagram merupakan salah satu media sosial yang paling sering digunakan saat ini dan memiliki banyak pengguna di seluruh dunia. Instagram biasanya digunakan untuk berbagi memori dan bersosialisasi dengan sesama pengguna. Dalam dunia pendidikan, Instagram berpotensi untuk mendukung kegiatan edukasi karena banyak fitur yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam aplikasi, termasuk untuk melakukan tes bahasa Inggris khususnya Grammar yang merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam pengujian bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun tes Tata Bahasa Inggris di Instagram untuk siswa kelas X SMK dan untuk mengetahui karakteristik tes Tata Bahasa Inggris yang sesuai untuk siswa kelas X Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan yang dibuat di Instagram. Metode penelitian ini adalah desain penelitian dan pengembangan. Prosedur peneliti adalah: meneliti dan mengumpulkan informasi, merencanakan dengan mengelaborasi tinjauan pustaka, merancang draf tes tata bahasa atau menyusun tes, melakukan tinjauan tes oleh para ahli, merevisi tes, melakukan uji coba tes, menganalisis tes pada aspek tingkat kesulitan dan tes akhir perancangan. Responden penelitian ini adalah 34 siswa kelas X Akuntansi 2 di SMK Negeri 40 Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Topik tes tata bahasa Inggris siswa kelas X SMK yang dibangun di Instagram adalah Pronoun, penggunaan Would like / Going to / Will, Noun Phrase, Passive Voice, Forming Nouns from Verbs, Simple Past Tense, Present Perfect Tense, Simple Past Tense, Adverbial Clauses and Adverbial Phrases, Direct Speech dan Reported Speech, Adverbs of Time, dan Past Perfect Tense. 2) Jenis tes yang digunakan adalah benar-salah, pilihan ganda, menjawab singkat dan membuat kalimat, 3) Tes tata bahasa Inggris untuk siswa kelas X SMK di Instagram diperoleh 34 butir soal dengan kategori tingkat kesulitan sedang yang layak digunakan, 4) Tes tata bahasa Inggris untuk siswa kelas X SMK yang dibangun di Instagram memenuhi karakteristik interaktif, berbasis visual, dan menarik. The implementation of distant learning caused by the pandemic of COVID-19 encourages teachers to utilize the technology especially social media for educational activity. Instagram is the one of social media which is the most frequently used currently and has many users all over the world. People usually use Instagram for sharing memories and socializing with fellow users. In education, Instagram has potential to support educational activity because of its many features that can be utilized in the application, including for conducting English test especially in Grammar which is one of the important aspects in English language testing. This study aims at constructing English Grammar test in Instagram for 10th grade students of Vocational High School and to find out the characteristics of appropriate English Grammar tests for 10th grade students of Vocational High School constructed in Instagram. The method of this study was research and development design. The researcher procedures are: researching and collecting information, planning with elaborating the literature reviews, designing the draft of grammar test or constructing the tests, having the test review by the experts, revising the test, conducting a try-out of the test, analyzing the test in aspect of level of difficulties and designing final test. The respondents of this study were 34 students of 10th grade from Accounting 2 class in 40 Vocational High School Jakarta. The findings show that 1) The topic of English grammar test for 10th grade students of Vocational High School constructed in Instagram are Pronouns, the use of Would like/Going to/Will, Noun Phrase, Passive Voice, Forming Nouns from Verbs, Simple Past Tense, Present Perfect Tense, Simple Past Tense, Adverbial Clauses and Adverbial Phrases, Direct Speech and Reported Speech, Adverbs of Time, and Past Perfect Tense. 2) The test types used are true-false, multiple choices, short-answer and making a sentence, 3) The English grammar test for 10th grade students of Vocational High School constructed in Instagram gained 34 test items categorized in moderate level of difficulty which is appropriate to be used, 4) The English grammar test for 10th grade students of Vocational High School constructed in Instagram meet the characteristics of interactive, visual-based, and interesting.
