Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran yang dimiliki oleh komunitas IKARAGIL terhadap adaptasi sosial perantau Gunung Kidul di Jakarta. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kegiatan wawancara yang dilakukan terhadap jajaran pengurus komunitas dan anggota komunitas IKARAGIL, studi pustaka buku dan jurnal relevan dan observasi terhadap kegiatan yang dilakukan IKARAGIL. Metode yang digunakan dalam analisis data adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran IKARAGIL dalam adaptasi sosial perantau Gunung Kidul di Jakarta dilakukan dengan kegiatan-kegiatan sosial dan kegiatan internal dalam usaha mempererat hubungan anggota di perantauan. Kegiatan sosial yang mereka lakukan memperkuat solidaritas di antara para anggota dan menumbuhkan kepedulian sosial terhadap sesama anggota, masyarakat Gunung Kidul, dan terhadap masyarakat di lokasi keberadaan IKARAGIL. Serta berbagai perbincangan tentang kehidupan sehari-sehari, dan kegiatan diskusi yang mereka lakukan mengenai masalah yang anggota mereka hadapi di perantauan menjadikan IKARAGIL sebagai sebuah rumah dalam proses adaptasi sosial para anggotanya. This study aims to know the role that IKARAGIL has on social adaptation from Gunung Kidul emigrant in Jakarta. The methodology used is qualitative approach. The data collection technique was carried out using interviews to board of IKARAGIL, literature study to relevant books and articles and observation to IKARAGIL’s activities. The methods used in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicates that IKARAGIL have role on the social adaptation from Gunung Kidul emigrant in Jakarta that they do with their social activities and another internal activities to strengthen the bond they has on their foreign region. Social activities they do strengthen the solidarity between it’s members and grow social welfare for their own members, the people of Gunung Kidul, and for the people on IKARAGIL’s region. And the conversations about their life, and their routine discussion between members about all the problems they’ve encountered on their overseas turns IKARAGIL to become their home and gave influence to the process of social adaptation for the members.
