Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh karakteristik perusahaan dan karakteristik obligasi terhadap peringkat obligasi yang diberikan kepada perusahaan-perusahaan yang diperingkat oleh PEFINDO dengan periode pengamatan 2016-2019. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini berupa karakteristik perusahaan yang terdiri dari leverage, pertumbuhan perusahaan, dan ukuran perusahaan serta karakteristik obligasi yang terdiri dari umur obligasi dan jaminan obligasi. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan jumlah akhir sebanyak 104 observasi. Metode analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) dengan bantuan program SmartPLS versi 3.2.9. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh positif terhadap peringkat obligasi dan umur obligasi berpengaruh negatif terhadap peringkat obligasi. Sedangkan leverage, pertumbuhan perusahaan, dan jaminan obligasi tidak berpengaruh terhadap peringkat obligasi. Kata Kunci: Peringkat Obligasi, Leverage, Pertumbuhan Perusahaan, Ukuran Perusahaan, Umur Obligasi, Jaminan Obligasi This study aims to analyze the effect of company characteristics and bond characteristics on bond ratings which are given to companies rated by PEFINDO with the observation period 2016-2019. The independent variables in this study are company characteristics consisting of leverage, company growth, and company size also bond characteristics consisting of bond age and bond securities. Determination of the sample using purposive sampling technique with a final sample size of 104 observations. The analytical method used in this study is Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis with the help of the SmartPLS program version 3.2.9. The results showed that company size have a positive effect on bond ratings and bond age have a negative effect on bond ratings. Meanwhile, leverage, company growth, and bond securities have no effect on bond ratings. Keywords: Bond Rating, Leverage, Company Growth, Company Size, Bond Age, Bond Securities
