Abstract

Pada era teknologi yang berkembang dengan sangat pesat, terdapat salah satu teknologi yang banyak digemari masyarakat saat ini, yaitu smartphone. Namun dalam kondisi tertentu, sering dijumpai kesuliatan dalam mengisi daya smartphone bila tidak ada sumber listrik di sekitar. Salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi hal ini dapat diatasi dengan menggunakan charger yang bisa digunakan kapanpun dan di manapun (portable). Berdasarkan masalah tersebut, maka dilakukan pendesainan charger portable tipe centrifugal. Pendesainan alat ini menggunakan metode DFMA (Design For Manufacturing and Assembly) guna menghasilkan desain yang optimal dan efisien. Berdasarkan hasil analisa dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa hasil rancangan base desain (opsi desain 1) dapat di efisiensikan dengan menggunakan metode DFMA sehingga didapatkan opsi desain baru yang lebih efisien, yaitu opsi desain 2. Kata Kunci: Smartphone, charger, desain, DFMA In the era of technology that developing very rapidly, there is technology that popular with people today, smartphones. However, under certain conditions, it is often encountered difficulties in charging a smartphone when there is no power source nearby. One solution to overcome this problem can be using a charger that can be used anytime and anywhere (portable). Based on these problems, a centrifugal type portable charger design was carried out. The design of this tool uses the DFMA (Design For Manufacturing and Assembly) method in order to produce an optimal and efficient design. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the design base design results (design option 1) can be streamlined by using the DFMA method so that a new, more efficient design option is obtained, namely design option 2.
