Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya ketidakpuasan mahasiswa terhadap materi ajar bahasa Jepang pada Mata Kuliah Pengantar Bahasa Jepang Pariwisata yang digunakan. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sebuah model materi ajar bahasa Jepang untuk tujuan khusus pariwisata dengan pendekatan Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). Dari tujuan penelitian tersebut, penelitian ini memfokuskan pada: kebutuhan materi ajar bahasa Jepang pariwisata, materi ajar bahasa Jepang pariwisata yang digunakan saat ini, desain materi ajar bahasa Jepang pariwisata, kelayakan materi ajar dan efektifitas materi ajar bahasa Jepang pariwisata. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode campuran kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan R&D. Lama waktu penelitian yaitu 3 semester, yang dilakukan pada setiap semester genap tahun ajaran. Tempat dilakukannya penelitian yaitu di Program Studi Manajemen Pemasaran Pariwisata FPIPS UPI dengan responden penelitiannya adalah mahasiswa Prodi Manajemen Pemasaran Pariwisata angkatan 2017/2018, 2018/2019 dan 2019/2020 yang mengontrak Mata Kuliah pengantar Bahasa Jepang Pariwisata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konten materi ajar yang dibutuhkan adalah konten yang berhubungan dengan bidang pariwisata dan materi ajar bahasa Jepang untuk tujuan khusus pariwisata yang digunakan selama ini belum sesuai dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa. Luaran penelitian ini berupa model materi ajar yang telah mengalami perubahan sebanyak tiga kali, yaitu draft 1, draft2 dan draft 3/final. Kelayakan model materi ajar didapat dari rekan sejawat dan pakar bahasa, dan hasil uji efektifitas model materi ajar menggunakan rumus N-Gain yang menunjukkan bahwa model materi ajar yang dibuat mempunyai tingkat efektifitas yang tinggi. Penelitian ini mempunyai keterbatasan dalam hal pengambilan data dari stakeholder dan keberagaman konten. Sehingga ke depannya perlu dilakukan wawancara atau penyebaran angket kepada stakeholder berkenaan tematema materi ajar yang dibutuhkan. The research was carried out due to students’ dissatisfaction with the existing Japanese learning materials used in the Course of Introduction to Japanese Language in Tourism context. Therefore, this research aims to design a model of Japanese learning materials in Tourism context by using Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach. The research focuses on the needs of Japanese learning materials in Tourism Context, Japanese learning materials in Tourism context used in the class at present, design of Japanese learning materials in Tourism context, the eligibility of the learning materials and the effectiveness of Japanese learning materials in Tourism context. The research employed mixed methods, qualitative and quantitative, and used R&D approach. The research was carried out within three semesters, done every even semester year of study. The research was conducted in the Study Program of Tourism Marketing Management, Faculty of Social Science Education Indonesia University of Education to students the Study Program of Tourism Marketing Management batch 2017/2018, 2018/2019, and 2019/2020 registered in the Course of Introduction to Japanese Language in Tourism. The research results showed that the contents of learning materials needed were those related to the field of Tourism. This is contrary to the fact that Japanese learning materials in the context of Tourism used at present in the course are not aligned with the needs of the students. The outcome of this research was model of learning materials that had been revised for three times, namely draft 1, draft 2, and draft 3/ final. The eligibility of the learning materials model was done by peer-evaluation and experts’ judgment, and effectiveness test result using N-Gain formula. The results demonstrated that model of learning materials developed in this research has high effectiveness. This research has limitation with respect to the data collection from the stakeholder and content diversity and thus, in the future, it is recommended that next researchers can involve interview or questionnaire distribution to stakeholders regarding themes or topics of learning materials needed by students to learn.
