Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adaptasi karir peserta didik sekolah menengah kejuruan negeri di Kota Bekasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian survey. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu teknik insidental sampling dengan jumlah responden 152 peserta didik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitian Career Adapt-Abilities Scale-Short Form (CAAS-SF) oleh (Maggiori et al., 2017) yang telah diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Analisis uji validitas da reliabilitas instrumen menggunakan Product Moment Pearson dengan bantuan software IBM Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) versi 22.0 yang memperoleh semua item valid serta diperoleh koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0.87 yang berarti bahwa instrumen memiliki reliabilitas tinggi dan layak digunakan sebagai instrumen penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara umum bahwa adaptasi karir peserta didik SMK Negeri di Kota Bekasi berada pada kategori seimbang antara sangat baik dan cukup baik. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah peserta didik telah memiliki dimensi kepedulian, pengendalian, rasa ingintahu dan kepercayaan diri, namun masih terdapat perilaku yang belum mencerminkan ke empat dimensi tersebut. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah peserta didik perlu meningkatkan adaptasi karirnya karena akan berpengaruh pada karirnya di dunia kerja. This study aims to determine the description of the career adaptability of students in Vocational High Schools in Bekasi City. The method used is descriptive method with survey research type. The sampling technique used was incidental sampling technique with a total number of respondents as many as 152 students of SMK Negeri Bekasi City in class X, XI and XII. Data collection was carried out using the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale-Short Form (CAAS-SF) research instrument by (Maggiori et al., 2017) which has been translated into Indonesian. Analysis of the instrument validity test used Pearson's Product Moment with the help of the IBM Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software version 22.0 which obtained all valid items. The reliability test using the IBM Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software version 22.0 obtained a coefficient of 0.87 which means that the instrument has high reliability and is suitable for use as a research instrument. The results showed that in general the career adaptability of the students of SMK Negeri in Bekasi City was in a balanced category between very good and quite good.The conclusion of this study is that students already have the dimensions of care, control, curiosity and self-confidence, but there are still behaviors that do not reflect the four dimensions. The implication of this research is that students need to improve their career adaptability because it will affect their career in the world of work.
