Abstract

Smartphone merupakan salah satu perkembangan teknologi saat ini dan sering dimanfaatkan untuk mendukung pembelajaran siswa. Di samping memiliki manfaat, penggunaan smartphone yang berlebihan dapat mengarah pada penggunaan smartphone bermasalah (problematic smartphone use). Problematic smartphone use merupakan ketidakmampuan seseorang dalam mengatur penggunaan smartphone-nya dan menyebabkan konsekuensi negatif. Aspek-aspeknya terdiri dari tolerance, escape from problem, withdrawal, craving, negative life consequence, dan social motivation. Cognitive-behavioral therapy dapat dimanfaatkan dalam menangani kasus penggunaan smartphone bermasalah. Pemberian layanan konseling yang efektif harus didasarkan pada penggunaan teori yang benar dan dilakukan secara sistematis, tidak hanya didasarkan pada pengalaman saja. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan buku panduan untuk mengurangi problematic smartphone use pada siswa SMA dengan pendekatan cognitive-behavioral therapy. Buku panduan ditujukan bagi guru BK tingkat SMA, berisi mengenai penjelasan problematic smartphone use, langkah-langkah pendekatan cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), asesmen yang digunakan, dan implementasi delapan sesi pendekatan CBT. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu design-based research (DBR) yang memiliki empat tahapan. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti hanya sampai tahap ketiga, yaitu pertama analisis dan eksplorasi, kedua desain dan konstruksi, dan ketiga evaluasi dan refleksi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji formatif yang meliputi validasi ahli materi dan validasi ahli media. Hasil validasi ahli materi dan ahli media mendapatkan skor rata-rata pada ahli materi 97.92% dan 85.42% pada ahli media. Uji pengguna dilakukan pada 12 guru BK tingkat SMA yang pernah memperoleh kuliah CBT. Didapatkan skor rata-rata sebesar 91.67% dan berada pada kategori sangat layak. Hasil buku panduan untuk mengurangi penggunaan smartphone bermasalah pada siswa SMA dengan pendekatan cognitive-behavioral therapy dikategorikan sangat layak. In addition to its benefits, excessive smartphone use can lead to problematic smartphone use. Problematic smartphone use means one's inability to regulate his smartphone use, leading to various negative consequences. Its aspects consist of tolerance, escape from problem, withdrawal, craving, negative life consequence, and social motivation. Cognitive-behavioral therapy can be used in dealing with problematic smartphone use cases. The provision of effective counseling services must be based on appropriate theory and carried out systematically, instead of experience-reliance. This research tried to develop a guidebook to reduce problematic smartphone use for high school students with cognitive-behavioral therapy approach. The guidebook is intended for high school counseling guidance teachers, explaining about the problematic smartphone use, the steps for cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) approach, the assessment used, and the implementation of eight sessions of CBT approach. The research method implemented was design-based research (DBR) with four stages. Here, the researcher managed to reach the third stage, the first stage being analysis and exploration, the second being design and construction, and the third being evaluation and reflection. Formative test was used to perform data analysis which included validation by material experts and media experts. The validation results revealed an average score of 97.92% from the material experts and 85.42% from the media experts. User trials were carried out on 12 high school counseling teachers who had received CBT courses. An average score of 91.67% was obtained, indicating a very feasible category. The resulting guidebook to reduce problematic smartphone use in high school students with cognitive-behavioral therapy approach is categorized as very feasible.
