Abstract

The objective of this Action Research is to improve student’s oral communication skill through the communicative approach with technical discussion. This study was conducted at Al Kindy Islamic Elementary School Jakarta from Oktober, 01’ 2013 to Oktober, 28’ 2014. The research data were taken from students in the four class , with 24 student’s and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The research findings indicate that there is improvements in student’s Arabic speaking skill through the communicative approach with technical discussion. By analyzing data qualitatively and quantitatively from the end of cycle to cycle and it was found that student’s Arabic speaking skill increased although it is still far from hope. The result shown that there is an increase happened in every cycle, start from Pre-test, Cycle I until Cycle II. The student’s skill in speaking appointed a good improvement. The researcher concludes that the student’s Arabic speaking skill can be increased through the communicative approach with technical discussion in learning process. The context of the text in discussion should be communicative and teacher should be capable in guiding student’s to discussion as well.
