Abstract

Keberadaan manusia gerobak ditengah-tengah masyarakat merupakan sebuah bukti bahwa kesejahteraan yang tidak merata, serta terjadinya kesenjangan sosial. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mengetahui cara beradaptasi dalam aspek sosial dan ekonomi di masa pandemi covid-19 terhadap manusia gerobak di Rawamangun, Jakarta Timur. 2) Mengetahui faktor pendukung manusia gerobak di Rawamangun, Jakarta Timur tetap bertahan bekerja di masa pandemi covid-19. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi langsung ketika terjun ke lapangan. Sumber data penelitian ini merupakan data primer dan data sekunder dan hasil penelitian ini adalah pihak manusia gerobak dan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) manusia gerobak tidak mampu beradaptasi di masa pandemi covid-19 dengan kebutuhan setiap harinya, serta keterbatasan akses bekerja yang mempengaruhi sejumlah pendapatan sehari-harinya. (2) Penyebab manusia gerobak masih bertahan dengan pekerjaannya karena para manusia gerobak memiliki tanggungan yaitu keluarga, serta diri sendiri untuk mencukupi kebutuhan sehari-hari mereka. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa manusia gerobak yang tinggal di Rawamangun, Jakarta Timur mampu beradaptasi di kondisi pandemi covid-19 dengan memenuhi kebutuhan hidup sehari-harinya dengan kecukupan. The existence of Cart man are proofing that there are an unequal walfare and social gap in the midst of society. However, the purposes of this research are 1) Finding out how cart man adapt the situation throughout the covid-19 pandemic both socially and economically located in Rawamangun, est Jakarta. 2) Knowing what factors that support cart man in Rawamangun, east jakarta to keep working in this covid 19 pandemic. The research method uses qualitative research methods; by using observation techniques, interviews, and direct documentation when going into the field. The data sources of this research are primary data, secondary data and the wagon men themselves in which the result of this research show that (1) the cart man manusia gerobak are unable to adapt during the COVID-19 pandemic to their daily needs, as well as limited access to work that affects some of their daily income. (2) The cause of the cart man still insisting their job are because the wagon men have their family and themselves to be bear of to meet their daily needs. therefore, the conclusion of this research shows that the wagon men who live in Rawamangun, East Jakarta are able to adapt the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic by fulfilling their daily needs adequately.
