Abstract

This study aims to improve the confidence of high school students Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. The research method used is action research with qualitative and quantitative data collection. Implementation of research involving 1 person that is Bagas Sujianto, S. Pd as teacher and also kolabolator. This research was conducted in April until May 2017, done by 2 cycle, that is cycle I consist of 4 meeting and cycle 2 consist of 4 times meeting. The first cycle activity is done through the play approach and then proceed with the basic technique test of boxing as follows: students who are able to perform basic boxing technique skill training 3 people (20%) enter into the good category, as many as 3 people (20%) enough category 9 people (60%) less category. The second cycle activity conducted through the play approach then followed by the basic technique test of boxing as follows: A total of 14 people (93%) who entered into good category, as many as 1 person (7%) category enough. After conducting research activities, it can be concluded with to improve basic technique of boxing able to increase confidence in Diponegoro 1 high school students of Jakarta.
