Abstract

Penelitian yang berjudul “Analisis Tokoh dan Penokohan dalam Novel Zayni Barakat Karya Jamal Al Ghitani” bertujuan mendeskripsikan peran tokoh, watak tokoh, dan teknik penokohan dalam novel Zayni Barakat Karya Jamal Al Ghitani. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Zayni barakat yang diterbitkan oleh Dar Nahdet Misr pada tahun 1985 ketebalan 272 halaman . Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan struktural. Penganalisisan data dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut: (1) membaca novel Zayni barakat karya jamal Al Ghitani secara berulang-ulang, (2) mendeskripsikan peran, watak tokoh, dan teknik penokohan dalam novel Zayni Barakat karya Jamal Al Ghitani ke dalam sebuah tabel, (3) menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan data yang sesuai dengan masalah yang ditentukan, (4) membuat kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran tokoh dalam novel Zayni Barakat karya Jamal Al Ghitani terdiri dari tokoh utama dan tokoh tambahan. Tokoh utama adalah Zayni barakat. Tokoh tambahan yang penting adalah Ali bin Abi Al Jud, Zakariyya Bin Radi, Sulthan Al Ghawri, dan ada beberapa tokoh tambahan yang kurang penting adalah shihab al halabi, syeikh al qasabiy, amr bil al adawi, syeikh abu al su’ud, dan sa’id al juhayni. Watak Zayni Barakat tegas, bijaksana dan adil. Watak Ali Bin Abi Al Jud kejam dan sombong. Watak Zakariyya Bin radi bijaksana dan jahat. Watak Sulthan Al Ghawri tegas. Penokohan dalam novel Zayni Barakat karya Jamal Al Ghitani digambarkan dengan teknik analitik dan teknik dramatik, teknik yang dominan digunakan adalah teknik dramatik. The research entitled "Analysis of Characters and Characterizations in the Novel Zayni Barakat by Jamal Al Ghitani" aims to describe the role of characters, character traits, and characterization techniques in Zayni Barakat Karya's novels. Jamal Al Ghitani. The data source for this research is the novel Zayni Barakat published by Dar Nahdet Misr in 1985, 272 pages. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis method with a structural approach. Data analysis was carried out with the following steps: (1) reading the novel Zayni Barakat by Jamal Al Ghitani repeatedly, (2) describing the roles, character traits, and characterization techniques in the novel Zayni Barakat by Jamal Al Ghitani into a table. , (3) analyze and describe the data in accordance with the specified problem, (4) draw conclusions. The results showed that the role of the characters in the novel Zayni Barakat by Jamal Al Ghitani consisted of the main character and additional characters. The main character is Zayni Barakat. Important additional figures are Ali bin Abi Al Jud, Zakariyya Bin Radi, Sulthan Al Ghawri, and there are some additional characters that are less important are shihab al halabi, sheikh al qasabiy, amr bil al adawi, sheikh abu al su'ud, and sa 'id al juhayni. Zayni Barakat's character is firm, wise and fair. Ali Bin Abi Al Jud's character was cruel and arrogant. Zakariyya Bin radi's character is wise and evil. Sulthan Al Ghawri's character is firm. The characterizations in the novel Zayni Barakat by Jamal Al Ghitani are described by analytical techniques and dramatic techniques, the dominant technique used is dramatic technique.
