Abstract
Negara Indonesia dilintasi garis katulistiwa, memiliki hutan tropis luas, yang memegang peranan penting menjaga kestabilan emisi, dan kestabilan iklim. Namun belum diikuti kesadaran masyarakat untuk menjaganya, terbukti adanya permasalahan hutan Indonesia dari tahun ke tahun, seperti pembakaran hutan secara massal. Sehingga masih perlunya edukasi kepada masyarakat akan pentingnya menjaga hutan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan melakukan uji coba eksplorasi sebelumnya terhadap motif, teknik, warna, dan material. Jenis riset penelitian dan penciptaan ini menggunakan research-led practice, yaitu penelitian menjadi dasar dalam praktik. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari berbagai narasumber, sumber tertulis dan foto guna memperoleh data yang diperlukan. Perupa menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dan pendokumentasian. Media hiburan dimanfaatkan perupa sebagai media untuk mengedukasi agar menjaga hutan, berupa permainan papan terinspirasi dari permainan monopoli dengan cerita dongeng didalamnya. Menggunakan mixed media: media cetak (konvensional), dan media digital berupa fitur Augmented Reality yang memunculkan animasi singkat untuk menarik perhatian pengguna generasi z akhir, usia Sekolah Dasar kelas 4-6 pada tahun ajaran 2020 2021. Sehingga dapat menyampaikan pesan, nilai-nilai, dan semangat menjaga hutan Kalimantan,Sumatra, dan Jawa. Media dongeng dipilih karena dengan mudah dapat menyampaikan pesan moral kepada masyarakat. Dikemas bersama 3 seri picture book. The country of Indonesia is crossed by the equator, has extensive tropical forests, which play an important role in maintaining emission stability and climate stability. However, public awareness has not been followed to protect it, as evidenced by Indonesia's forest problems from year to year, such as mass forest burning. So it is still necessary to educate the public about the importance of protecting the forest. This research method uses qualitative methods by conducting previous exploratory trials on motifs, techniques, colors, and materials. This type of research and creation research uses research-led practice, where research becomes the basis for practice. Sources of data in this study were obtained from various sources, written sources and photographs in order to obtain the necessary data. Artists use data collection techniques through observation, interviews, literature studies, and documentation. Artists use entertainment media as a medium to educate to protect the forest, in the form of board games inspired by the monopoly game with fairy tales in it. Using mixed media: print (conventional) media, and digital media in the form of the Augmented Reality feature that brings up short animations to attract the attention of the late z generation users, elementary school age grades 4-6 in the 2020-2021 school year. So that they can convey messages, values values, and the spirit of protecting the forests of Kalimantan, Sumatra, and Java. Fairy tale media was chosen because it can easily convey moral messages to the public. Packaged with 3 picture book series
