Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan materi ajar tata kalimat pada teks deskripsi dengan pendekatan kontekstual siswa kelas VII SMP. Tata kalimat yang dibahas meliputi unsur-unsur kalimat, pola kalimat dasar, dan jenis kalimat berdasarkan jumlah klausa. Komponen pendekatan kontekstual yang digunakan pada pengembangan materi ajar ini meliputi konstruktivisme, pemodelan, menemukan, dan penilaian sebenarnya. Model pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu model ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation) dengan mengadaptasi tiga tahapannya yakni analisis (analysis), desain (design), dan pengembangan (development). Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Analisis deskriptif kualitatif dilakukan untuk mengolah data pada tahapan analisis. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan untuk mengolah data dari hasil validasi ahli materi dan ahli metodologi. Hasil validasi pengembangan materi oleh ahli materi mendapatkan rata-rata skor 4,43 dengan klasifikasi sangat baik. Hasil validasi pengembangan materi oleh ahli metodologi mendapatkan rata-rata skor 4,47 dengan klasifikasi sangat baik. Kesimpulan dari kedua validator, materi ajar tata kalimat pada teks deskripsi dengan pendekatan kontekstual siswa kelas VII SMP layak digunakan sebagai materi ajar di sekolah. This study aims to develop sentence grammar teaching materials in descriptive text with a contextual approach for seventh grade students of junior high school. The sentence grammar discussed include sentence elements, basic sentence patterns, and types of sentences based on the number of clauses. The components of the contextual approach used in the development of these teaching materials include constructivism, modeling, inqury, and authentic assessment. The development model used is the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation) by adapting three stages, namely analysis, design, and development. The analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative descriptive analysis was conducted to process the data at the analysis stage. Quantitative analysis was carried out to process data from the validation of material experts and methodologists. The results of the validation of material development by material experts get an average score of 4.43 with a very good classification. The results of the validation of material development by methodologists get an average score of 4.47 with a very good classification. The conclusion from the two validators is that the teaching materials for sentence grammar in descriptive texts with a contextual approach for grade VII junior high school students are appropriate to be used as teaching materials in schools.
