Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fungsi Abtönungspartikel yang ada di dalam komik Pünktchen und Anton karya Isabel Kreitz. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik analisis deskriptif dan peneliti sebagai instrumen penelitian. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa teks yang berada dalam balon dialog dalam komik Pünktchen und Anton karya Isabel Kreitz. Kemudian Abtönungspartikel dianalisis berdasarkan fungsinya menggunakan acuan teori dari Ulrich Engel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 67 data yang mengandung Abtönungspartikel dalam komik Pünktchen und Anton. Dari 27 jenis Abtönungspartikel yang dikemukakan oleh Engel, hanya ditemukan 13 jenis Abtönungspartikel yang digunakan dalam komik ini. Abtönungspartikel tersebut yaitu ja digunakan sebanyak 15, denn sebanyak 12, doch sebanyak 9, aber sebanyak 9, nur sebanyak 6, eigentlich sebanyak 4, mal sebanyak 5, wohl sebanyak 2, schon, auch, bloss, eben, dan also masing-masing 1. Sedangkan 14 jenis Abtönungspartikel lainnya yang tidak ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah bitte, durchaus, einfach, etwa, gleich, halt, lediglich, nämlich, nicht, noch, nun mal, ruhig, schnell dan vielleicht. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa beberapa Abtönungspartikel dalam komik ini memiliki fungsi yang berbeda-beda dilihat dari konteksnya. Abtönungspartikel yang paling banyak digunakan dalam komik Pünktchen und Anton adalah ja sebanyak 15 dengan fungsi yang berbeda-beda yaitu, menjelaskan fakta yang diketahui secara umum, mengungkapkan keterkejutan, memperkuat nasihat, memperkuat permintaan mendesak, memperkuat suatu peringatan, dan ungkapan meremehkan. Selain itu, terdapat Abtönungspartikel yang memiliki fungsi tidak sesuai dengan teori Engel yaitu aber, doch dan ja. Engel mengatakan bahwa aber memiliki fungsi menunjukkan keterkejutan namun aber yang digunakan dalam komik ini memiliki fungsi meremehkan lawan bicara jika dilihat dari konteks dan gambarnya. Lalu Abtönungspartikel doch memiliki fungsi menuntut persetujuan lawan bicara, namun dalam komik ini doch memiliki fungsi memperkuat permintaan mendesak jika dilihat dari konteks dan gambarnya. Kemudian Abtönungspartikel ja yang memiliki fungsi mengungkapkan keterkejutan jika dilihat dari konteks ja memiliki fungsi menekankan situasi mendesak. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis techniques and researchers as research instruments. The data used in this study is in the form of text in a dialogue balloon in the comic “Pünktchen und Anton” by Isabel Kreitz. Then the Abtönungspartikel were analyzed based on their functions using the theoretical reference from Ulrich Engel. The results of this study indicate that there are 67 data containing Abtönungspartikel in “Pünktchen und Anton” comics. Of the 27 types of Abtönungspartikel proposed by Engel, only 13 types of Abtönungspartikel were found used in this comic. The abtönungspartikel are 15 used ja, 12 denn, 9 doch, 9 aber, 6 nur, 4 eigentlich, 5 mal, 2 wohl, schon, auch, bloss, eben, and also 1 each. While the other 14 types of Abtönungspartikel that were not found in this study were bitte, durchaus, einfach, etwa, gleich, halt, lediglich, nämlich, nicht, noch, nun mal, ruhig, schnell and vielleicht. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that several Abtönungspartikel in this comic has different functions in terms of their context. The most widely used Abtönungspartikel in the “Pünktchen und Anton” comics are ja as many as 15 with different functions, namely, explaining generally known facts, expressing surprise, strengthening advice, amplifying urgent requests, amplifying a warning, and disparaging expressions. In addition, there are Abtönungspartikel that have functions that are not in accordance with Engel's theory, namely aber, doch and ja. Engel said that aber has the function of showing surprise but the aber used in this comic has the function of belittling the interlocutor when viewed from the context and the picture. Then the Abtönungspartikel doch has the function of demanding the interlocutor's approval, but in this comic the doch has the function of amplifying urgent requests when viewed from the context and the picture. Then Abtönungspartikel ja which has the function of expressing surprise when viewed from the context of ja has the function of emphasizing urgent situations.
