Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk kekerasan verbal yang terdapat dalam kutipan dialog pada komik Aya de Yopougon. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data simak catat dan teknik analisis data. Sudaryanto (2015 : 203-206). Sumber data yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah kutipan dialog dalam komik Aya de Yopougon jilid 1 dan 2. Komik yang berjumlah enam seri ini diterbitkan oleh Gallimard Jeunesse pada tahun 2005 dan 2010. Peneliti memilih menggunakan 2 buah komik karena peneliti ingin menemukan lebih banyak bentuk kekerasan verbal meskipun komik ini memiliki tema yang sama, namun cerita dari setiap komiknya berbeda. Secara keseluruhan komik ini menceritakan tentang kehidupan sehari-hari seorang gadis bernama Aya yang berasal dari Côte d’Ivoire yang berkeinginan menjadi seorang dokter serta melawan stereotip negatif yang menjangkiti Côte d’Ivoire dan Afrika pada umumnya. Stereotip negatif yang dimaksud di sini adalah kemiskinan, rendahnya tingkat literasi bagi perempuan, tingginya angka kematian ibu, pernikahan dini dan kehamilan dini, dan meningkatnya angka imigrasi di Côte d’Ivoire. (Agency, 2013) (Gary-Tounkara, 2007). Langkah pertama yang dilakukan di dalam penelitian ini adalah membaca teori tentang bentuk kekerasan verbal. Langkah selanjutnya ialah membaca dengan seksama sumber data primer yang berupa 2 buah komik seri Aya de Yopougon. Selanjutnya, data tersebut disajikan dalam tabel analisis data menurut bentuk kekerasan verbalnya.Hasil analisis penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam komik Aya de Yopougon terdapat 2 bentuk kekerasan verbal menurut Fracchiolla. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, diperoleh 48 bentuk kekerasan verbal di dalam kutipan dialog komik Aya de Yopougon jilid 1 dengan rincian yaitu sebanyak 29 bentuk kekerasan verbal disengaja jenis kekerasan verbal kilat, 1 bentuk kekerasan verbal disengaja jenis kekerasan verbal polemik, 1 bentuk kekerasan verbal disengaja jenis kekerasan verbal tidak langsung dan 1 kekerasan verbal tidak disengaja. Sedangkan hasil analisis yang diperoleh dalam kutipan dialog komik Aya de Yopougon jilid 2 terbagi atas 13 bentuk kekerasan verbal disengaja jenis kekerasan verbal kilat, 0 bentuk kekerasan verbal disengaja jenis kekerasan verbal polemik, 2 bentuk kekerasan verbal disengaja jenis kekerasan verbal tidak langsung dan 1 kekerasan verbal tidak disengaja. Penelitian ini berguna untuk memberikan gambaran yang lebih mendalam mengenai bentuk kekerasan verbal dalam sebuah bacaan. Hal ini juga diharapkan dapat berguna bagi mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan bahasa Prancis untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca bahasa Prancis melalui media komik yang merupakan karya sastra bergambar. ************ This study aims to describe the forms of verbal violence contained in the dialogue quotes in the comic Aya de Yopougon. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques refer to notes and data analysis techniques. Sudaryanto (2015: 203-206). The data sources used in this study are dialogue quotes in the comic Aya de Yopougon volumes 1 and 2. This six-series comic was published by Gallimard Jeunesse in 2005 and 2010. The researcher chose to use 2 comics because the researcher wanted to find more forms of verbal violence even though this comic has the same theme, the story of each comic is different. Overall this comic tells about the daily life of a girl named Aya is from Côte d'Ivoire who wants to become a doctor and fights the negative stereotypes that plague Ivory Coast and Africa in general. The negative stereotypes referred to here are poverty, low literacy rates for women, high maternal mortality rates, early marriage and early pregnancy, and increasing immigration rates in the Côte d'Ivoire. (Agency, 2013) (Gary-Tounkara, 2007). The first step in this study is to read the theory book about forms of verbal violence. The next step is to carefully read the primary data sources in the form of 2 pieces of Aya de Yopougon comic series. Furthermore, the data is presented in a data analysis table which is classified according to the form of verbal violence. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that in the comic Aya de Yopougon there are 2 forms of verbal violence according to Fracchiolla. Based on the analysis, 48 forms of verbal violence are obtained in the dialogue quotations of Aya de Yopougon’s comic volume 1 with details of which are 29 forms of intentional verbal violence the type of lightning verbal violence, 1 form of intentional verbal violence the type of polemic verbal violence, 1 form of intentional verbal violence the type of diverted verbal violence and 1 form of unintentional verbal violence. While the results of the analysis obtained in the dialogue quotations of Aya de Yopougon's comic volume 2 are divided into 13 forms of intentional verbal violence the type of lightning verbal violence, 0 form of intentional verbal violence the type of polemic verbal violence, 2 forms of intentional verbal violence the type of diverted verbal violence and 1 form of unintentional verbal violence. This research is also useful to provide a deeper description of the forms of verbal violence in a reading text and to expand French vocabulary. This is certainly very useful for students in French language education to improve French reading skills through comics, which are illustrated literature.
