Abstract

*Abstrak* Rencana tentang perlunya BIM masuk dalam dunia pendidikan sudah banyak diangkat dan dibahas. Namun, kesiapan dan juga pandangan mahasiswa dalam menerima pembelajaran tersebut belum terungkap dari sudut pandang mahasiswa itu sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan di Indonesia terhadap BIM. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif-kuantitatif, dengan instrumen pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner. Persepsi mahasiswa PTB di Indonesia terhadap BIM ditinjau dari persepsi pengetahuan mahasiswa dalam mengenal BIM dan juga sudut pandang mahasiswa apabila pembelajaran BIM diterapkan pada PTB. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa PTB terhadap pengetahuan mengenai BIM masuk ke dalam kategori positif. Mayoritas responden telah dapat menyerap dan juga mengerti pengetahuan mengenai BIM dengan baik. Informasi mengenai BIM saat ini sudah banyak diterima oleh responden, rata-rata responden juga telah banyak yang mengamati perkembangan BIM saat ini. Mayoritas responden telah dapat menjelaskan definisi, manfaat serta fungsi dari BIM. Persepsi mahasiswa PTB jika pembelajaran BIM diterapkan pada PTB masuk ke dalam kategori negatif. Informasi mengenai BIM saat ini tidak diterima responden dari pembelajaran di PTB. Responden menilai pembelajaran BIM pada PTB akan terasa sulit ditambah dengan belum memadainya sarana dan prasarana penunjang pembelajaran. Jika dilihat dari perbedaan persepsi mahasiswa PTB di Pulau Jawa dengan mahasiswa PTB di luar Pulau Jawa terhadap pengetahuan mengenai BIM, tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan. Jika dilihat dari perbedaan persepsi mahasiswa PTB yang berjenis kelamin laki-laki dengan mahasiswa PTB yang berjenis kelamin perempuan terhadap pengetahuan mengenai BIM, juga tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan. ABSTRAK Kata Kunci: Persepsi, Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan, BIM *Abstract* Plans regarding the need for BIM to be included in the world of education have been widely raised and discussed. However, the readiness and also the views of students in accepting the learning have not been revealed from the point of view of the students themselves. This study aims to determine the perceptions of students of the Building Engineering Education Study Program in Indonesia towards BIM. This research is a descriptive-quantitative research, with the data collection instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The perception of PTB students in Indonesia towards BIM is viewed from the perception of students' knowledge in recognizing BIM and also the student's point of view when BIM learning is applied to PTB. The results showed that PTB students' perceptions of knowledge about BIM were in the positive category. The majority of respondents have been able to absorb and understand knowledge about BIM well. Information about BIM is now widely accepted by respondents, on average, many respondents have also observed the current development of BIM. The majority of respondents have been able to explain the definition, benefits and functions of BIM. The perception of PTB students if BIM learning is applied to PTB is in the negative category. Information about BIM is currently not received by respondents from learning at PTB. Respondents assessed that BIM learning at PTB would be difficult, coupled with the inadequate facilities and infrastructure to support learning. When viewed from the difference in perceptions of PTB students on the island of Java with PTB students outside Java on knowledge about BIM, there is no significant difference. When viewed from the difference in perceptions of male PTB students and female PTB students on knowledge about BIM, there is also no significant difference.
