Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan kohesi dalam teks pidato Presiden Joko Widodo tahun 2020. Metode penelitian yang gdigunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi. Fokus dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan aspek kohesi gramatikal meliputi: referensi, substitusi, elipsis, konjungsi, dan aspek kohesi leksikal meliputi: repetisi, sinonim, antonim, hiponim, kolokasi, ekuivalensi. Objek penelitian ini adalah teks pidato Presiden Joko Widodo tahun 2020. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan data sebanyak 231 dari 91 pasangan kalimat pada empat teks pidato. Hasil penelitian penggunaan kohesi pada teks pidato Presiden Joko Widodo tahun 2020 dapat dijelaskan bahwa kohesi gramatikal lebih banyak (68,4%) dibandingkan dengan pengunaan kohesi leksikal (31,6%). Ditemukan empat aspek kohesi gramatikal yakni, referensi 58 data (25,1%), substitusi 15 data (6,5%), elipsis 10 data (4,3%), dan konjungsi 75 data (32,5%). Ditemukan enam aspek kohesi leksikal yakni, repetisi 23 data (10%), sinonim 11 data (4,8%), antonim 11 data (4,8%), hiponim 11 data (4,8%), kolokasi 6 data (2,6%), dan ekuivalensi 11 data (4,8%). Pidato Presiden Joko Widodo lebih banyak menggunakan unsur gramatikal untuk menghubungkan informasi-informasi yang ada pada setiap kalimatnya. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa suatu informasi yang disampaikan akan lebih mudah dipahami dengan adanya unsur gramatikal. Hasil penelitian ini dapat diimplikasikan terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia bagi siswa melalui struktur dan kebahasaan teks pidato persuasif di kelas IX SMP. ********** This study aims to describe the use of cohesion in the text of President Joko Widodo's speech in 2020. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with content analysis techniques. The focus in this study is the use of grammatical cohesion aspects including: references, substitutions, ellipsis, conjunctions, and lexical cohesion aspects including: repetition, synonyms, antonyms, hyponyms, collocations, equivalences. The object of this research is the text of President Joko Widodo's speech in 2020. Based on the results of the study, data obtained as much as 231 of 91 sentence pairs in four speech texts. The results of the research on the use of cohesion in the text of President Joko Widodo's speech in 2020 can be explained that grammatical cohesion is more (68.4%) than the use of lexical cohesion (31.6%). Four aspects of grammatical cohesion were found, namely, 58 data references (25.1%), 15 data substitutions (6.5%), 10 data ellipsis (4.3%), and 75 data conjunctions (32.5%). There were six aspects of lexical cohesion, namely, repetition of 23 data (10%), synonym 11 data (4.8%), antonym 11 data (4.8%), hyponym 11 data (4.8%), collocation 6 data (2,6%), and the equivalence of 11 data (4.8%). President Joko Widodo's speech uses more grammatical elements to connect the information contained in each sentence. So it can be concluded that the information conveyed will be easier to understand with the grammatical elements. The results of this study can be implicated in Indonesian language learning for students through the structure and language of persuasive speech texts in grade IX junior high school.
