Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kontrol diri dengan kecenderungan agresi pada dewasa awal yang diselingkuhi saat berpacaran. Total sampel berjumlah 111 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur agresi adalah Aggression Questionnaire, dan instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kontrol diri adalah Brief Self-Control Scale (BSCS). Hasil uji korelasi menggunakan Pearson Correlation menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (p) = 0,000, yang artinya p value (sig 0,000) < 0,05, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) = -0,461. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara kontrol diri dengan kecenderungan agresi pada dewasa awal yang diselingkuhi saat berpacaran. This study aims to determine relationship between self-control with aggression tendencies in early adulthood who get cheated on while dating. The total sample is 111 respondents who were selected using purposive sampling technique. The instrument used to measure aggression is the Aggression Questionnaire, and the instrument used to measure self-control is the Brief Self-Control Scale (BSCS). The results of the correlation test using Pearson Correlation showed a significance value (p) = 0,000, which means p value (sig 0,000) < 0,05, with a correlation coefficient (r) = -0,461. It can be concluded that the results of the study indicate a significant negative relationship between self-control with aggression tendencies in early adulthood who get cheated on while dating.
