Abstract

Seiring dengan pesatnya perkembangan teknologi terutama di industri otomotif menuntut pelatihan bagi teknisi untuk terus berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan pelatihan diagnosis mesin mobil bagi teknisi yang berada pada training centre di PT Astra Dihatsu Motor dengan pembelajaran berbasis konteks untuk mengatasi kurangnya kompetensi teknisi mendiagnosis kerusakan mesin mobil saat bekerja dibengkel cabang. Metode penelitian adalah research and development (R & D), pada bagian research bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan dan bagian development menggunakan Model Pengembangan Instruksional (MPI) untuk mengembangkan program pelatihan. Program pelatihan yang dihasilkan memiliki hasil uji kelayakan dari ahli materi sebesar 97,46 sedangkan dari ahli instruksional 82,85 dan dari ahli media 83,33. Hasil uji one-to-one pada teknisi berupa 75,83 dan mendapatkan nilai N-gain sebesar 79,4 % dari uji efektivitas yang berarti program pelatihan ini efektif meningkatkan kompetensi teknisi karena mengutamakan kesiapan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan emosianal para teknisi. Program ini direkomendasikan pada training centre di perusahaan Astra lainnya atau yang memiliki jenis pelatihan serupa karena kesiapan teknisi yang dibentuk dengan mengkondisikan lingkungan dan metode belajar sesuai dengan konteks pekerjaan mereka di lapangan mengantarkan teknisi untuk mencapai standar kompetensi yang dibutuhkan di lapangan. The rapid development of technology in the automotive industry made training for technicians had to continue develop along with it. This study’s purpose was to develop car engine diagnosis training for technicians at the training center at PT Astra Dihatsu Motor with context-based learning to overcome the lack of competence of technicians in diagnosing car engine damage while working in branch workshops. The method used in this study was research and development (R & D), the research was to analyze needs for the new program and the development section used the Instructional Development Model (MPI) to develop training programs. The training program’s test result from content experts of was 97.46 while from instructional experts 82.85 and from media experts 83.33. The results of the one-to-one test on technicians are 75.83 and get 79.4% for N-gain value, which means that this training program is effective in improving technician competence because it prioritizes the knowledge, skills and emotional readiness of the technicians. This program is recommended at training centers in other Astra companies or those with similar types of training because the readiness of technicians formed by conditioning the environment and learning methods according to the context of their work in the field leads technicians to achieve the competency standards required in the field.
