Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of academic burnout on self-efficacy in students undergoing Distance Learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research used quantitative research methods with purposive sampling technique. The research subjects were 304 undergraduate students who were undergoing Distance Learning (PJJ). The measuring instruments used in this study were the Maslach Burnout Inventory – Student Survey (MBI-SS) and General Self efficacy (GSE). This study used a single predictor regression analysis to test the research hypothesis. The results showed a p-value = 0.000 < α = 0.05, which means there is a significant influence of academic burnout on self-efficacy in students undergoing PJJ in a negative direction. The results showed a value of R-Square = 0.067, which means that the academic burnout variable influences the self-efficacy variable as much as 6.7% in students undergoing PJJ. It can be concluded that the higher the academic burnout rate, the lower the self-efficacy level will be.
