Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui perbedaan rasa takut akan COVID-19 di Amerika Serikat dan Indonesia. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan perbedaan rasa takut akan COVID-19 di Amerika Serikat dan Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 200 responden yang terbagi 2 menjadi 100 responden asal Amerika Serikat dan 100 responden berasal dari Indonesia. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala FCV-19S yang telah melalui uji validitas. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Uji T melalui SPSS 26, nilai signifikansi p= 0,061 (p<0,05) yang berarti bahwa tidak ada perbedaan rasa takut akan COVID-19 di Amerika Serikat dan Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rasa takut akan COVID-19 bersifat universal. This study was conducted to determine the differences in fear of COVID-19 in the United States of America and Indonesia. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a differences in fear of COVID-19 in the United States of America and Indonesia. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method. The sample used in this study amounted to 200 respondents which divided into 2, 100 respondents from United States of America and 100 respondents from Indonesia. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique. This study uses FCV-19S scale and passed through content validity test. The data analysis technique uses T Test through SPSS 26, with a significance value of p = 0.061 (p <0.05) which means that there is no differencies in fear of COVID-19 in the United States of America and Indonesia. The results of this study shows that fear of COVID-19 is universal.
