Abstract
This study aims to see the influence of cognitive emotional regulation strategies on positive mental health in students in JABODETABEK. Positive mental health variables are measured using the Mental Health Continuum-Short Form (MHC-SF) and cognitive emotion regulation questionnaire (CERQ) variable strategies are measured using the cognitive emotion regulation questionnaire (CERQ). The research subjects numbered 200 students who live in JABODETABEK. This study uses quantitative methods by using convenience sampling for sampling. The hypothesis test used to process research data is a multiple regression analysis test. The results of the data analysis showed that p of 0.000 < (0.05) and F count (16,908) > F table (3.89) which means there is an influence between cognitive emotional regulation strategies (self blame, acceptance, rumination, positive refocusing, refocus on planning, positive reappraisal, putting into perspective, catastrophizing, blaming others) on positive mental health in students. The R Square = 0.445 value showed that the effect that cognitive emotional regulation strategies exerted on positive mental health in students was 44.5% and the remaining 55.5% was influenced by other variables outside of these regression equations or variables not studied in this study.
