Abstract

*ABSTRAK* Mesin senai portabel merupakan alat bantu yang dirancang untuk mempermudah pembuatan ulir. Desain awal mesin senai portabel ini dirancang oleh tim skripsi dengan syarat memenuhi konsep portabel yaitu ringan bobot nya dan dapat dioperasikan dimana saja. Terdapat beebrapa varian mesin senai portabel yang perlu dikembangkan agar mendapatkan efisiensi dan efektifitas. Pengembangan desain yang dilakukan menggunakan metode Design For Manufacturing Assembly (DFMA) bertujuan untuk mengembangkan, mengkombinasikan dan mengeliminasikan komponen pada mesin senai portabel. Rancangan akhir yang telah didapatkan kemudian akan dilakukan pengujian dengan metode curah pendapat (brainstorming) terhadap responden. Hasil yang didapatkan dari responden terhadap desain assembly mesin senai sebesar 71,2 %. Pada angka persentase tersebut sudah melampaui batas minimum yaitu sebesar 60%. Kata kunci : Mesin senai, Portabel, Pengembangan desain, DFMA *ABSTRACT* Portable thread machine is a tool that is designed to facilitate the manufacture of threads. The initial design of this portable thread machine was designed by the thesis team on the condition that it fulfills the portable concept, which is light in weight and can be operated anywhere. There are several variants of portable thread machines that need to be developed in order to get efficiency and effectiveness. The design development carried out using the Design For Manufacturing Assembly (DFMA) method aims to develop, combine and eliminate components in a portable Senai machine. The final design that has been obtained will then be tested using the brainstorming method on the respondents. The results obtained from respondents to the assembly design of the thread machine were 71.2%. The percentage figure has exceeded the minimum limit of 60%.
