Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui integrasi Problem Based Learning dalam STEM education dapat meningkatkan literasi lingkungan peserta didik pendidikan dasar. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dan menggunakan metode studi literatur. Pencarian jurnal dari mesin pencarian Sciencedirect, Jurnal Pendidikan Sains, ERIC, Google search engine dan lain-lain dengan kata kunci Problem-Based Learning, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), literasi lingkungan, literasi sains menghasilkan jurnal sebanyak 3.298 jurnal. Berasal dari Sciencedirect 2.016 jurnal, ERIC 873 jurnal, Jurnal Pendidikan IPA Indonesia 49 jurnal. Melalui proses di atas diperoleh jurnal yang sesuai sejumlah 8 jurnal. Jurnal yang telah sesuai, kemudian dilakukan analisis dan ekstraksi. Jurnal yang direview sebagian besar menunjukkan metode pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning terintegrasi STEM sebagai salah satu metode pembelajaran yang diharapkan mampu meningkatkan literasi peserta didik. Pencapaian tersebut adalah menentukan masalah lingkungan, menggagas ide, pemecahan masalah lingkungan, mendesain pemecahan masalah lingkungan, mencipta produk sebagai bentuk mengatasi masalah lingkungan, serta menguji coba dan mengevaluasi produk tersebut. Hal ini karena pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan efektif dalam meningkatkan sikap dan pengetahuan peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil literatur review dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendidikan STEM yang terintegrasi model pembelajaran PBL dapat meningkatkan literasi lingkungan pada peserta didik pendidikan dasar. ********** This study aims to see the integration of problem-based learning in STEM education can improve environmental literacy of elementary education students. The research is qualitative in nature and uses the literature study method. Searching journals from the Science Direct search engine, Science Education Journal, ERIC, Google search engine and others with the keywords Problem-Based Learning, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), environmental literacy, scientific literacy resulted in 3,298 journals. Derived from Sciencedirect 2016 journals, ERIC 873 journals, Indonesian Science Education Journal 49 journals. Through the above process, 8 journals were obtained. The appropriate journal, then analyzed and extracted. Journals that mostly show the STEM integrated Problem Based Learning learning method as one of the learning methods which is expected to be able to increase the literacy of students. This achievement is determining environmental problems, initiating ideas, mastering environmental problems, controlling environmental problems, creating products as a form of overcoming environmental problems, and testing these products. This is because environment-based learning is effective in improving the attitudes and knowledge of students. Based on the results of the literature review, it can show that the application of STEM education that is integrated with the PBL learning model can improve environmental literacy in basic education students.
