Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh problem focused coping terhadap distres psikologis pada mahasiswa korban cyberbullying di Indonesia. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan nonprobability sampling dengan convenience sampling. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan instrumen Brief COPE sebagai instrumen pengukuran problem focused coping, instrumen Hopkins Symptom Checklist-25 (HSCL-25) sebagai instrumen pengukuran distres psikologis, dan instrumen Revised Cyber Bullying Inventory-II (RCBI-II) sebagai instrumen pengukuran cyberbullying. Jumlah responden yang menjadi korban cyberbullying pada penelitian ini yaitu sebanyak 72 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh problem focused coping: active coping terhadap distres psikologis pada mahasiswa korban cyberbullying di Indonesia dengan F hitung = 6.240 dan nilai p = 0,015 < 0,05., terdapat pengaruh problem focused coping: planning terhadap distres psikologis pada mahasiswa korban cyberbullying di Indonesia dengan F hitung = 3.960 dan nilai p = 0,050., dan terdapat pengaruh problem focused coping: using instrumental support terhadap distres psikologis pada mahasiswa korban cyberbullying di Indonesia dengan F hitung = 6.001 dan nilai p = 0,017. This study aims to determine the effect of problem focused coping on psychological distress in college students victims of cyberbullying in Indonesia. The sampling technique in this study used non-probability sampling with convenience sampling. Furthermore, in this study, researcher used the Brief-COPE instrument as an instrument for measuring problem focused coping, the Hopkins Symptom Checklist-25 (HSCL-25) instrument as an instrument for measuring psychological distress while the Revised Cyber Bullying Inventory-II (RCBI-II) instrument as an instrument for measuring cyberbullying. The number of respondents who became victims of cyberbullying in this study were 72 people. The results show that there is an effect of problem focused coping: active coping on psychological distress in college students victims of cyberbullying in Indonesia with F count = 6.240 and p value = 0.015 <0.05. Meanwhile, there is an effect of problem focused coping: planning on psychological distress in college students victims of cyberbullying in Indonesia with F count = 3.960 and p value = 0.050. In addition, there is an effect of problem focused coping: using instrumental support on psychological distress in college students victims of cyberbullying in Indonesia with F count = 6.001 and p value = 0.017.
