Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara gender role attitudes dan family decision making pada dual earner family. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel insidental sampling. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan kuesioner online dan terkumpul sebanyak 170 responden. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Attitudes toward Women Scale(AWS) dan Relatives Decision Making Scale (RDMS). Uji analisis statistik korelasi yang digunakan adalah Spearman dengan hasil penelitian r(170) = -0,198; sig.0,009 menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang negatif dan signifikan antara gender role attitudes dan family decision making. Hal ini berarti jika sikap peran gender seseorang cenderung egaliter maka pengambilan keputusan di dalam keluarganya cenderung tidak sepihak. This study aims to determinate the relation of gender role attitudes and family decision making in dual earner family. This study uses quantitative approach with the incidental sampling technique. The data was collected by online questionnaire with 170 respondents had been collected. The measuring instruments of this study is Attitudes toward Women Scale (AWS) and Relatives Decision Making Scale (RDMS). The statistical analysis for correlation measurement used the Spearman’s Rank-Order Correlation and the result showed the value of r(170) = -0,198; sig.0,009, it means that there is a negative relationship and significant between gender role attitudes and family decision making. The analysis showed if the score of gender role attitudes is egaliter therefore the family decision making will be more collaborative.
