Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh data empiris serta memberikan gambaran mengenai persepsi orang tua (ibu) di kawasan padat penduduk wilayah Kecamatan Ciracas Jakarta Timur, tentang kekerasan anak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh orang tua yang bertempat tinggal di kawasan padat penduduk wilayah kecamatan ciracas, yang memiliki anak bersekolah di TK/RA/KB/PAUD . Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah orang tua berusia 25-45 tahun yang memiliki anak usia 3-6 tahun bersekolah di TK/RA/KB/PAUD kawasan padat penduduk wilayah kecamatan Ciracas Jakarta Timur yang berjumlah sebanyak 40 orang tua. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah angket yang berisi 21 pernyataan. Hasil penelitian secara keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa persepsi orang tua (ibu) di kawasan padat penduduk wilayah Kecamatan Ciracas Jakarta Timur, tentang kekerasan anak berada pada kategori “cukup”. Melalui perhitungan yang telah diperoleh dari 40 orang tua, menunjukkan sebanyak 40% orang tua berada pada kategori baik. Selanjutnya, sebanyak 50% berada pada kategori cukup dan 10% berada pada kategori kurang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa orang tua memiliki persepsi cukup tentang kekerasan anak. Hasil penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa orang tua dapat memahami makna dan dampak kekerasan anak, orang tua dapat mengartikan berbagai jenis kekerasan anak dan orang tua memberikan reaksi yang positif terhadap informasi kekerasan anak. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan untuk membantu orang tua dalam mendidik dan melindungi anaknya dari kekerasan anak The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical data and provide an overview of the perceptions of parents (mothers) in a densely populated area of the Ciracas District, East Jakarta, about child abuse. This research is a quantitative research using survey method. The population in this study were all parents who live in densely populated areas of the Ciracas sub-district, who have children attending TK/RA/KB/PAUD. The sample in this study were parents aged 25-45 years who had children aged 3-6 years attending TK/RA/KB/PAUD in a densely populated area of the Ciracas sub-district, East Jakarta, totaling 40 parents. Sampling in this study using the Simple Random Sampling technique. The data collection used in this study was a questionnaire containing 21 statements. The overall results of the study indicate that the perception of parents (mothers) in densely populated areas of the Ciracas District, East Jakarta, regarding child abuse is in the "enough" category. Through calculations that have been obtained from 40 parents, it shows as many as 40% of parents are in the good category. Furthermore, as many as 50% are in the sufficient category and 10% are in the less category. The results of this study indicate that parents have sufficient perceptions about child abuse. The results of this study illustrate that parents can understand the meaning and impact of child violence, parents can interpret various types of child violence and parents give positive reactions to information on child abuse. The results of this study are expected to be used to assist parents in educating and protecting their children from child abuse
