Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan kekuatan otot lengan dengan kemampuan bowling, hubungan konsentrasi dengan kemampuan bowling, serta hubungan kekuatan otot lengan dan konsentrasi secara bersama-sama dengan kemampuan bowling pada atlet cricket Kota Depok.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode Kuantitatif Asosiatif teknik studi korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Total Sampling sebanyak 20 atlet. Pengambilan data kekuatan otot lengan menggunakan test pull up, konsentrasi menggunakan concentration grid test, dan kemampuan bowling menggunakan zona pantul bola sebanyak 6 kali bowling. Teknik analisis data statistic yang digunakan menggunakan teknik korelasi sederhana dan korelasi ganda dilanjutkan dengan uji t pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan koefisien korelasi (〖ry〗_1)= 0,76 dan koefisien determinasi 〖〖(ry〗_1)〗^2=0,571 berarti kekuatan otot lengan memberikan sumbangan sebesar 57,1% terhadap kemampuan bowling. Koefisien korelasi 〖(ry〗_2)=0,87 dan koefisien determinasi 〖〖(ry〗_2)〗^2=0,758 berarti konsentrasi memberikan sumbangan sebesar 75,8% terhadap kemampuan bowling. Koefisien 〖(ry〗_(1-2))=0,91 dan koefisien determinasi 〖〖(ry〗_(1-2))〗^2=0,824 berarti kekuatan otot lengan dan konsentrasi secara bersama-sama memberikan sumbangan 82,4% terhadap kemampuan bowling. Kata kunci : kekuatan otot lengan, konsentrasi, bowling, cricket Kota Depok ********* This research aims to determine the relationship of arm muscle strength to the bowling ability, the relationship of concentration to the bowling ability, as well as the relationship of arm muscle strength and concentration together to the bowling ability of Depok’s cricket athlete. This research was conducted with the Associative Quantitative method of correlation study techniques. The population in this research used Total Sampling as many as 20 athletes. Retrieval of arm muscle strength data using pull up test, concentration using a concentration grid test, and the bowling ability using ball bounce zone as much as 6 repetition of bowling. Statistic data analysis techniques used are simple correlation techniques and multiple correlation followed by t test at a significant level α = 0,05. The result showed the correlation coefficient ( 0,76 and the coefficient of determination mean that arm muscle strength contributed 57,1% to the bowling ability. The correlation coefficient and the coefficient of determination means concentration contributes 75,8% to the bowling ability. The correlation coefficient and the coefficient of determination means arm muscle strength and concentration together contributed 82,4% to the bowling ability
