Abstract

Kerusakan lingkungan laut Indonesia dan rendahnya kesadaran lingkungan kebaharian masyarakat yang tinggal di kawasan pesisir menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini. Pendidikan merupakan salah satu upaya dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku pro lingkungan kelautan masyarakat khususnya siswa. Bahan ajar merupakan salah satu alat untuk pendukung proses pendidikan sekolah yang berfungsi untuk memberikan informasi kepada siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan produk E-handout berbasis problem based learning dilengkapi video materi pencemaran lingkungan laut dalam meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan kebaharian siswa Kelas VII dan menguji kelayakan dan efektivitas produk dalam meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan kebaharian siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Bulan Maret 2020 – Maret 2021. Produk diuji coba pada siswa Kelas VII di SMP Negeri 290 Jakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian mix methode dengan tahapan kualitatif pengembangan menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development yang dikembangkan oleh Dick and Carey dan kuantitatif dengan eksperimen. Instrumen yang yang digunakan berupa test dan angket untuk mengukur kesadaran lingkungan kebaharian siswa dan instrumen validasi ahli media, materi, bahasa dan respon siswa dan guru untuk mengukur kelayakan produk yang dikembangkan. Penelitian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh hasil: (i) rata–rata validasi ahli adalah 84,28%, dan hasil respon siswa dan guru adalah 93,18 % dan 90 % yang berarti produk yang dihasilkan layak; (ii) Skor N- Gain yaitu 0,645 dan skor rata-rata post test 260 yang terbukti secara signifikan efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan kebaharian siswa Kelas VII SMP. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan kebaharian siswa Kelas VII SMP. ********** Damage to the Indonesian marine environment and the low awareness of the marine environment of people living in coastal areas are the backgrounds of this research. Education is one of the effortsto increase knowledge, attitudes, and pro-marine behavior of the community, especially students. Teaching materials are one of the tools to support the school education process which serves to provide information to students. The purpose of this study was to develop a product E-handout based on problem-based learning equipped with a video on marine environmental pollution in increasing the marine environmental awareness of class VII students and to test the feasibility and effectiveness of the product in increasing students' awareness of the marine environment. Thisresearch was conducted from March 2020 – March 2021. The product was tested on seventh-grade students at Junior High School 290 Jakarta. This research is a mixed method with qualitative stages of development using the Research and Development approach developed by Dick and Carey and quantitative with experiments. The instruments used are in the form of tests and questionnaires to measure students' environmental awareness and validation instruments for media, material, language experts, and student and teacher responses to measure the feasibility of the products developed. The results of this study indicate that the product developed, namely E-hand out based on problem-based learning equipped with a video of marine environmental pollution material "EduSea" has features: home, work goals and steps, hand out marine ecology, marine damage film, student worksheets, discussion, and an environmental awareness. The research that has been carried out shows the following results: (i) the average expert validation is 84.28%, and the results of student and teacher responses are 93.18% and 90%, which means the product is feasible; (ii) The N-Gain score is 0.645 and the post-test average score is 260 which is proven to be significantly effective in increasing the awareness of the marine environment for Class VII Junior High School students. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that the product developed meets the criteria of being feasible and effective in increasing awareness of the marine environment for Class VII Junior High School students.
