Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sikap sosial masyarakat dalam penerimaan keberadaan tempat prostitusi di Boker, Ciracas, Jakarta Timur. Waktu penelitian terhitung pada bulan Maret 2021 hingga Januari 2022. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Sumber daya yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berasal dari informan kunci yaitu salah satu staf RW.01 yang bertempat adanya kegiatan prostitusi, sedangkan informan inti yaitu beberapa masyarakat yang bertempat tinggal di Boker. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat di Boker terdapat sikap yang negatif dan positf tetapi sikap sosial yang ditunjukkan adalah sikap yang menerima kegiatan tersebut dengan saling menghargai satu sama lain dan tidak saling ikut campur urusan masing-masing. Sikap sosial masyarakat tersebut dikarenakan adanya proses pembentukan sikap sosial oleh masyarakat yang harus dilakukan agar tidak timbul konflik dalam kehidupan sosial di Boker. Kondisi hubungan sosial masyarakat dengan pelaku prostitusi ditemukan saling memiliki tujuan yang sama yaitu dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan ekonominya, tetapi hubungan keduanya tidak saling ada keikutcampuran dalam peran masing-masing. Lalu masyarakat menerima adanya kegiatan prostitusi disebabkan mayoritas masyarakat menganggap kegiatan prostitusi tersebut sebagai sumber ekonomi; ketidakmampuan untuk menentang kegiatan prostitusi di Boker; adanya perasaan simpati masyarakat terhadap pelaku prostitusi. This study aims to determine the social attitude of the community in accepting the existence of a place of prostitution in Boker, Ciracas, East Jakarta. The research time is from March 2021 to January 2022. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The resources used in this study came from key informants, namely one of the staff of RW.01 where prostitution activities took place, while the core informants were several people who lived in Boker. The results show that the people in Boker have negative and positive attitudes but the social attitude shown is an attitude that accepts these activities by respecting each other and not interfering in each other's affairs. The social attitude of the community is due to the process of forming social attitudes by the community which must be carried out so that conflicts do not arise in social life in Boker. The condition of social relations between the community and prostitutes was found to have the same goal, namely in fulfilling their economic needs, but the relationship between the two did not interfere with each other in their respective roles. Then the community accepts the existence of prostitution activities because the majority of people consider these prostitution activities as an economic source; inability to oppose prostitution activities in Boker; there is a feeling of public sympathy for prostitutes.
