Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan digresi psikologis dalam novel Kafka, L’éternel Fiancé karya Jacqueline Raoul-Duval. Adapun sumber utama untuk mengetahui indikasi digresi psikologis berlandaskan kepada empat digresi psikologis tipologi adaptasi oleh Robert K. Merton. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis isi dengan menggunakan pendekatan struktural karya sastra. Kegiatan analisis data pada sumber data diawali dengan pemaparan setiap unsur intrinsik novel yang terdiri dari alur, penokohan, dan latar. Kemudian analisis dilanjutkan dengan mengidentifikasi dan menginterpretasikan temuan-temuan berupa kata, frasa, kalimat, makna, dan konteks pada novel tersebut yang mengindikasikan adanya digresi psikologis tipologi adaptasi. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 73 data temuan pada novel Kafka, L’éternel Fiancé karya Jacqueline Raoul-Duval yang mengindikasikan digresi psikologis. Dari jumlah data tersebut, 35 di antaranya merupakan retreatisme, 21 di antaranya berupa pemberontakan, 11 di antaranya merupakan inovasi, dan 6 di antaranya merupakan ritualisme. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa novel Kafka, L’éternel Fiancé mengandung digresi psikologis adaptasi, dengan Franz Kafka sebagai tokoh utama memiliki digresi psikologis retreatisme. This study aims to describe psychological digression in Kafka's novel, L'éternel Fiancé by Jacqueline Raoul-Duval. The indications of psychological digression are based on four psychological digression typologies of adaptation by Robert K. Merton. The research method used in this research is content analysis using a structural analysis approach. Data analysis on data sources begin with the exposure of each intrinsic element of the novel consisting of plot, characterizations, and setting. The analysis is continued by identifying and interpreting the findings in the form of words, phrases, sentences, meanings, and contexts in the novel which indicate a psychological digression typology of adaptation. The results of this study show that there are 73 data findings in the novel Kafka, L'éternel Fiancé by Jacqueline Raoul-Duval which indicate psychological digression. Based on total amount of findings, 35 of them are retreatism, 21 of them are rebellions, 11 of them are innovations, and 6 of them are ritualism. From the study that has been done, it can be concluded that Kafka, L'éternel Fiancé contains a psychological digression of adaptation, with Franz Kafka as the main character having a psychological digression of retreatism.
