Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi game trivia pada materi teks anekdot siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 3 Kota Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development, yakni gabungan metode penelitian kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Model yang digunakan adalah ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Populasi penelitian yaitu siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 3 Kota Tangerang. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa telah berhasil dikembangkan aplikasi android berbasis game trivia yang dapat diakses secara fleksibel. Kemudian, kualitas aplikasi game trivia yang telah dikembangkan berkategori sangat layak/sangat baik berdasarkan rata-rata penilaian validator, yaitu sebesar 93,66% dengan masing-masing penilaian ahli materi sebesar 91,67%, ahli media sebesar 90,67%, dan guru bahasa Indonesia sebesar 98,64%. Selain itu, penilaian respons siswa pada uji coba lapangan adalah sangat baik sebesar 88,45%. Aplikasi game trivia ini memiliki implikasi dalam pembelajaran, yaitu dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks anekdot siswa yang sesuai dengan struktur dan kebahasaan. Keterbatasan aplikasi game trivia ini adalah soal-soal hanya berbentuk pilihan ganda dan tidak tersaji format dalam bentuk isian dan esai dikarenakan keterbatasan pemrograman. Pengembang dapat mengatasi keterbatasan tersebut dengan menggunakan aplikasi pembuat game lainnya sehingga format soal lebih bervariasi. Dengan demikian, aplikasi game trivia ini layak digunakan dan dapat dijadikan media pembelajaran teks anekdot yang menarik dan menyenangkan. This study aims to develop learning media based on trivia game applications on anecdotal text material for class X students of SMK Negeri 3 Kota Tangerang. This study uses the Research and Development method, which is a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods. The model used is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research population is the students of class X SMK Negeri 3 Kota Tangerang. Data were collected by observation, interview, and questionnaire methods. Data analysis was carried out by qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the study showed that an android application based on trivia games that could be accessed flexibly had been successfully developed. Then, the quality of the trivia game application that has been developed is categorized as very decent/very good based on the average validator rating, which is 93.66% with each material expert rating 91.67%, media expert at 90.67%, and Indonesian language teachers amounted to 98.64%. In addition, the assessment of student responses in the field trial was very good at 88.45%. This trivia game application has implications in learning, which can be used as a learning medium to improve students' anecdotal text writing skills in accordance with the structure and language. The limitation of this trivia game application is that the questions are only in the form of multiple choice and are not presented in the form of entries and essays due to programming limitations. Developers can overcome these limitations by using other game maker applications so that the format of the questions is more varied. Thus, this trivia game application is feasible to use and can be used as a medium for learning anecdotal text in interesting and fun way.
