Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Search, Solve, Create and Share (SSCS) terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Penelitian dilakukan pada kelas VII di SMP Negeri 2 Bukittinggi, semester genap tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen semu (Quasi eksperiment). Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik simple random sampling untuk menentukan kelas eksperimen (model pembelajaran SSCS) dan kelas kontrol (model pembelajaran konvensional). Kedua kelas yang terpilih berasal dari populasi berdistribusi normal, memiliki varians relatif homogen, dan memiliki kemampuan awal yang relatif sama. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis berupa 6 soal uraian pada pokok bahasan bangun datar segiempat. Sebelum soal diberikan, instrumen penelitian tersebut telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Pengujian hipotesis statistik dilakukan dilakukan dengan uji t^' pada taraf signifikansi α=0,05 dan diperoleh nilai 〖t^'〗_hitung = 3,41 > nilai kritis = 1,694, sehingga H_(0 )ditolak dengan taraf signifikansi α=0,05. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan dari penerapan model pembelajaran SSCS (Search, Solve, Create, and Share) terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Bukittinggi. Berdasarkan perhitungan Cohen’s Effect Size, besar pengaruh yang dihasilkan yaitu besar 79% yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. *********** This research aims to knowing the effects of the Search, Solve, Create, And Share (SSCS) learning model on the ability to understand students mathematical concepts. The research was conducted on class VII at SMP Negeri 2 Bukittinggi, the even semester 2020/2021 school year. The research method used a quasi-experiment. The sampling technique used is a simple random sampling technique to determine experimental classes (SSCS learning model) and the control class (conventional learning models). The two classes were selected come from normal distributed population, have relatively homogeneous variances, and had relatively the same initial ability average. The research instrumen used is a test instrumen of mathematical understand concepts ability in the form of 6 essay questions on the subject of quadrilaterals. Before the questions were given, the research instrumen had been tested for validity and reliability. Statistical hypothesis testing is done with t’ test at the significance level of α=0,05 and obtained 〖t^'〗_count = 3,41 > critical value = 1,694, so H_(0 )was rejected with a significance level of α=0,05. Based on the result of calculations, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive effect of the application of the SSCS learning (Search, Solve, Create, and Share) to the ability to understand the mathematical concept of students at SMP Negeri 2 Bukittnggi. Based on the Cohen’s Effect Size calculation, the resulted effect size is 79% which included to the high category.
