Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kompensasi dengan komitmen guru SMA Swasta di Kecamatan Tambun Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 183 guru, dengan total sampel sebanyak 65 guru yang tersebar dari 10 Sekolah Menengah Atas Swasta di Kecamatan Tambun Selatan. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Proportional Random Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket/kuesioner dengan skala likert. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan Uji Korelasi Product Moment dan Uji Tabel t. berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai thitung = 4,006 lebih besar daripada ttabel = 1,999. Nilai koefisien determination menunjukkan bahwa kompensasi memberikan kontribusi sebesar 20,3% terhadap komitmen guru. Dengan demikian, dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara variabel kompensasi dengan komitmen guru SMA Swasta di Kecamatan Tambun Selatan. Artinya, semakin baik pemberian kompensasi kepada guru maka akan semakin baik dan meningkat komitmen guru di sekolah. ***** This study aims to find out the relationship between compensation and commitment of Private High School Teachers in Tambun Selatan Subdistrict. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population in this study was 183 teachers, with a total sample of 65 teachers spread from 10 Private High Schools in Tambun Selatan Subdistrict. The sampling technique used are Proportional Random Sampling. Data collection technique in this study used a questionnaires with a lkert scale. Hypothesis testing was conducted using a Product Moment Correlation Test and t Table Test. based on the results of hypothesis test, obtained thitung = 4,006 greater than the ttable = 1,999, with the acquisition of a coefficient of determination of 0,203 or 20,3%. This shows that compensation contributes 20.3% to the teacher commitment to the teacher’s performance.. Thus, from the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between the variables of compensation and the commitment of Private High School Teachers in Tambun Selatan Subdistrict. That is, the better the compensation for teachers, the better and the increased commitment of teachers in schools.
