Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self compassion dan body image pada remaja perempuan pengguna Instagram. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasi dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Responden pada penelitian ini adalah 225 remaja perempuan pengguna instagram yang berusia 15-18 tahun. Pengumpulan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling . Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Skala Welas Diri (SWD) untuk mengukur self compassion dan instrumen Multidimensional Body Self Relation Questionnare – Appearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS ) untuk mengukur body image. Hasil penelitian menujukan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara self compassion dengan body image dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,359 dan taraf signifikansi 0,000 (p<0,05). This study aims to determine the relationship between self-compassion and body image in adolescent girls using Instagram. This research is a correlation research using a quantitative approach. Respondents in this study were 225 teenage girls using Instagram aged 15-18 years. Sampling was done by using accidental sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were the Skala Welas Diri (SWD) to measure self-compassion and the Multidimensional Body Self-Relation Questionnare – Appearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS) instrument to measure body image. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between self-compassion and body image with a correlation coefficient value of 0.359 and a significance level of 0.000 (p<0.05).
