Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmenggambarkan struktur kognitif siswa kelas XI dengan metode flow map dalam materi asam basa menggunakan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 8E.Subjek penelitian adalah 36 siswa kelas XI MIA 4 SMA N 54 Jakartatahun ajaran 2016/2017.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui instrumen tes pemahaman, wawancara, flow map, observasi, reflektif jurnal ,lembar kerja siswa, dan kuesioner CCVLES. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data pada penelitian ini berupa Prlonged engagement, Member checking, danProgressive Subjectivity.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model Miles dan Hubermanyaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi data.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 8E memiliki dampak terhadap perkembangan struktur kognitif dan softskill siswa.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, miskonsepsi siswa ditemukan pada konsep karakteristik asam basa, teori asam basa, indikator asam basa, kekuatan asam basa, dan pH.Selama mengikuti model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 8E terjadi peningkatan pemahamansiswa dan terjadi penurunan miskonsepsi siswa.Hal ini menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 8E dapat mengurangi miskonsepsi siswa. This research aims to determine students’ cognitive structure of acid base topics through flowmap methods use Learning Cycle 8E model. The subjects of this study were 36 students of XI MIA 4 SMA N 54 Jakarta. This research used qualitative methods. Data were collected through achievement test, interview, flowmap, class observation, reflective journal, students’ worksheet and CCVLES questionnaire. Credibility that used in this study were Prlonged engagement, Member checking, and Progressive Subjectivity. Data were analyzed usedMiles dan Huberman which is data reduction, display data and conclution drawing/ verification. The results showed that Learning Cycle 8E model has had an impact on the development of students' cognitive structure and softskill. Based on the results of the study, misconception in acid base topics was found in acid base characteristics, acid base theory, acid base indicators, acid base strength, and pH.The percentage of students who experienced misconception decreased and the percentage of students who understand increased. This proves that Learning Cycle 8E model can overcome student misconception.
