Abstract

Ketekunan (persistence) merujuk pada kuantitas waktu yang dihabiskan oleh individu dalam menuntaskan pekerjaannya. Hal ini bisa dilihat dari usaha seseorang untuk dapat bertahan ketika menyelesaikan tugasnya. Seorang yang tekun akan mempertahankan besar usahanya saat menyelesaikan pekerjaannya dan tidak mudah menyerah dengan cepat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan antara ketekunan (persistence) dengan hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas X MIA pada materi ekosistem. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 102 Jakarta pada bulan April-Mei 2016. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei melalui studi korelasional. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIA dengan sampel sebanyak 75 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Hasil pengujian normalitas data dengan uji Kolmogorov Smirnov diperoleh data kedua variabel berdistribusi normal. Hasil pengujian homogenitas dengan uji Bartlett diperoleh data dari kedua variabel homogen. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji regresi diperoleh bahwa model regresi Ŷ = 2,547 + 0,208X signifikan dan mempunyai hubungan yang linier. Hasil uji Pearson Product Moment diperoleh nilai korelasi sebesar 0,87. Perhitungan koefisien determinasi diperoleh nilai sebesar 0,7569 yang artinya sebesar 75,69% ketekunan (persistence) memberikan kontribusi terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa pada materi ekosistem, sedangkan 24,31% disebabkan oleh faktor lainnya. Persistence refers to the length of time a person sticks with a given action. This can be seen from staying power of behavior or how long a person will continue to devote effort. A persist person will be maintaining the effort in completing the work and do not give up quickly. The purpose of this research was to determained the relationship between persistence with biology learning outcomes of students of Sains grade X on ecosystem material. The research was accomplished at 102 Senior High School of Jakarta in April-May 2016. The method of this research used survey method through correlational study. The subject of this research were students of Sains grade X with sample of 75 students were selected by simple random sampling. Results of the normality data tested by Kolmogorov Smirnov test, resulting that two data population normality distributed. Data homogenity tested by Bartlett test resulting data obtained from the two homogeneous variable. Hypothesis test using regression test, found that the regression model Ŷ = 2.547 + 0.208X had a significant and linier relationship. The result of Pearson Product Moment test was correlation value obtained 0.87. The calculation of the determination coefficient obtained 0.7569. It was that 75.69% of persistence contributed to the biology learning outcomes on ecosystem material while 24.31% was determined by other factors.
