Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui penilaian tas wanita dari limbah botol plastik minuman bersoda. Adapun penelitian ini dilakukan di Jurusan IKK Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Jakarta pada bulan Februari 2016 hingga Juni 2017. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-Eksperimental. Yaitu, peneliti membuat lima produk tas wanita dengan cara eksperimen yang terbuat dari limbah botol plastik minuman bersoda. Prosedur pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner yang diisi oleh lima orang informan ahli dalam bidang fashion dan aksesoris, dan 30 responden wanita dewasa awal. Tahapan penelitian berupa pengumpulan gambar selama proses pengolahan dan pembuatan tas wanita dari daur ulang limbah botol plastik minuman bersoda. Setelah melakukan tahapan penelitian, dilakukan penilaian tas wanita dilihat berdasarkan teori produk, teori unsur desain dan prinsip desain. Hasil penelitian informan ahli berdasarkan teori produk menyatakan bahwa aspek ciri/kestimewaan memiliki nilai tertinggi, dan nilai terendah terdapat pada aspek kinerja dan estetika. Kemudian, berdasarkan teori desain meliputi unsur desain menyatakan bentuk tas wanita memiliki nilai tertinggi, dan nilai terendah terdapat pada unsur warna. Selanjutnya, pada prinsip desain aspek aksen memperoleh nilai tertinggi, dan nilai terendah terdapat pada keseimbangan. Kemudian, berdasarkan hasil penilaian terhadap 30 responden diketahui bahwa indikator bentuk memperoleh nilai tertinggi. Dengan demikian, dari hasil penilaian yang telah dilakukan oleh panelis dan 30 responden wanita dewasa awal, dapat disimpulkan bahwa limbah botol plastik memiliki nilai sebagai bahan baku pembuatan tas wanita. The purpose of research is to find out the appraisal of Women’s Bag From Waste Soft Drink Plastic Bottles. This research was located in Family Welfare Department Technical Faculty State University of Jakarta on February 2016 until June 2017. This research used Pre-Experimental method. Researcher made five woman’s bag which is made by from wasted soft drinks plastic bottle. The procedure of collecting data in the form of questionnaires that has been filled by five panelist who expert in fashion and accessories and 30 female respondents. Stage of the research consist of collecting images due to the research, processing and manufacture of woman’s bag products from the wasted soft drink plastic bottle. Afterwards, value of product consist of product theory and design theory. The result of the assessment of panelists consist based on product theory states that aspect of features/privileges has the highest value, and the lowest value is in the aspect of performance and aethetics. Then, based on design theory including design elements states that aspect of the shape has the highest value, and the lowest value is in the color aspect. Then, on the design principle, the accent aspect has the highest value, and the lowest value is in the balance aspect. So, it can be concluded that waste plastic bottle of soft drinks has value as a raw material for making a woman bags.
