Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan buku teks guru dan buku teks siswa dalam proses pembelajaran di dalam kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMK Negeri 26 Jakarta, dengan populasi terjangkau adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI sebanyak 372 siswa. Sampel diambil dari siswa sebanyak 25 persen dari jumlah populasi terjangkau, yaitu 93 siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis deskriptif, yaitu dengan cara mendeskripsikan jawaban responden dalam bentuk tabel, frekuensi dan persentase yang diperoleh dari hasil pengajuan angket. Berdasarkan hasil temuan di lapangan, buku teks yang tersedia memiliki kelemahan, yaitu kurang memotivasi siswa untuk terus belajar karena bahasa dalam buku teks sulit dipahami, tampilan kurang menarik dan urutan bab dalam buku teks terkadang tidak sesuai dengan penjelasan guru Sejarah Indonesia di dalam kelas. Namun, secara keseluruhan dinilai dari lima aspek, yaitu pertama buku teks sesuai dengan KI dan KD yang ditetapkan Kurikulum 2013. Kedua buku teks menunjang tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran. Ketiga buku teks sebagai bahan referensi dalam proses pembelajaran. Keempat buku teks terbuka terhadap berbagai jenis berfikir dan belajar. Kelima buku teks sederhana, menarik dan atraktif membantu siswa belajar sendiri. Penggunaan buku teks kurikulum 2013 cukup efektif dalam proses pembelajaran Sejarah Indonesia. Buku teks cenderung memenuhi kriteria yang telah ditetapkan. Buku teks mampu menunaikan fungsinya sebagai sumber membelajarkan bagi guru dan sumber belajar bagi siswa, serta dapat membantu tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran yang diharapkan. The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of using Teacher and Students text book in learning process in the classroom. This study use descriptive method with quantitative approach. The population of this study is all students of SMK Negeri 26 Jakarta, with affordable population are all 11th grade students with total population is 372 respondents. The sample is taken from 25% of affordable population, it’s only 93 respondents. Descriptive analysis is used to get data in this research. It describes the respondents answer by the table, frequency and presentation that taken from questioner. Base on the result, the text book that was given has a weakness, it can’t give the students more motivation because the language is too difficult to understand, the appearance of that book is not interest, and the order of chapters is not accordance with Indonesian History Teacher explanation in the classroom. But, if the book is rated from five aspects. First, the book according with Core Competence (KI) and Basic Competence (KD) that was settled by 2013 Curriculum. Second, the book support learning objectives. Third, the text book as references in learning process. Fourth, the text book is open to think and learn. Fifth, the text book is so simple, interest, attractive to help students learn by self. The text book of 2013 curriculum is more effective in Indonesian History learning process in use. The text book has fulfilled the criteria that had been settled. Its can do all the function of the source for Teacher and Students learning process. It also helps to get the goal of learning process.
