Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran “learning by doing” pada pelatihan public speaking di lembaga Training Indonesia. Dengan penggunaan pendekatan pembelajaran model experiential learning ini diharapkan dapat semakin menyelaraskan konsep learning by doing yang diterapkan oleh lembaga Training Indonesia. Berdasarkan metodenya, penelitian ini termasuk dalam metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lembaga Training Indonesia dengan responden 15 peserta pelatihan dan 2 orang instruktur. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan penyebaran kuesioner dan wawancara . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tahapan model experiential learning sudah dilaksanakan dengan cukup baik. Penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran “learning by doing” telah memberikan kesempatan untuk terciptanya proses pembelajaran setiap peserta dalam melakukan, melihat, mendengar dan merasakan secara langsung keterampilan yang dipraktekkan oleh instruktur. This study aims to describe the application of learning approach "learning by doing" in public speaking training in Training Indonesia institutions. With the use of learning approaches experiential learning model expected to further align the concept of learning by doing which is applied by the Training Institute of Indonesia. Based on the method, this research is included in qualitative descriptive research method. The study was conducted at Indonesian Training Institute with 15 trainees and 2 instructors. The data were collected by using questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that experiential learning model stage has been implemented well enough. The application of the learning by doing approach has provided an opportunity for the creation of each participant's learning process in doing, seeing, hearing and feeling directly the skills practiced by the instructor.
