Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Nasional 1 Bekasi, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyelenggaraan manajemen pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan September 2016 hingga Desember 2016. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Sumber data dari penelitian ini yaitu kepala sekolah, kepala divisi outdoor learning dan beberapa informan pendukung antara lain guruguru Nassa Valley dan peserta didik SMP Nasional 1 Bekasi. Perencanaan pendidikan karakter dilakukan dengan menentukan kegiatan yang dapat membentuk karakter peserta didik, menentukan teknik yang akan diberikan, dan menyusun jadwal pelaksanaan. Lalu program yang sudah disusun itu dipresentasikan oleh kepala divisi outdoor learning dalam rapat pimpinan di depan seluruh para pimpinan. Di dalam rapat pimpinan ini program tersebut dibahas untuk mendapat masukan dan saran dari pimpinan lain. Sehingga program yang sudah disusun tersebut isinya bisa ditambah atau dikurangi agar menjadi program yang sesuai dengan apa yang diharapkan oleh seluruh warga sekolah. Pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter dilakukan melalui program paket satu bulan outdoor learning, yang memuat beberapa kegiatan untuk membentuk karakter peserta didik antara lain kegiatan pramuka, kegiatan keagamaan, kegiatan practical life, dan kegiatan Siswa Peduli Lingkungan Nassa (SPLN). Pihak sekolah hendaknya dalam merencanakan pendidikan karakter melibatkan seluruh komunitas sekolah, yakni guru, orang tua dan masyarakat sekitar, serta dalam menyusun program pendidikan karakter hendaknya mencantumkan nilai-nilai karakter yang akan ditanamkan kepada peserta didik dalam program pendidikan karakter. This research was conducted at Nasional 1 Junior High School Bekasi, which aims to find out the implementation of character education management. This research was conducted in September to December 2016. The research was a qualitative research with descriptive method. This research data obtained by observation, interview, and study documentation. The data source of this research are the principal, the head division of the outdoor learning and other supporter informants such as teachers of Nassa Valley and student at Nasional 1 Junior High School Bekasi. Character education planning is done by determining the activity that can shape the character of learners, determine which techniques will be provided, and preparing implementation schedule. Then the program that is already arranged will be presented by the head of the division of outdoor learning in leadership meetings in front of the other supervisor. In this meeting, the program discussed to get feedback and advice from others. With the result that the program already compiled the contents can added or subtracted in order to become a program in accordance with what is expected by the whole citizens of the school. The implementation of the character education program conducted through one month of outdoor learning that contains some activities to build the character of learners such as scout activities, religious activities, activities of practical life, and the activity of Student that Care for The Environment Nassa (SPLN). The school should plan a character education involves the entire school community i.e. teachers, parents and the local community, and in drawing up education programs should include the character values of the characters will be implanted to learners in the character education program.
